*takes a hit from a blunt* Bro like imagine you live in a hell world tormented by an evil arch wizard and you’re doing what you can to survive and even try to fight back but you’re litteraly the last man standing after years of war and all your allies are either dead or succumbed to the evil wizard’s spell and you start thinking that maybe there is no hope left and suddenly you meet this complete stranger who says he’s actually the future heir of this civilization and he somehow knows you and the truth of the universe you’re living in and wants to help you kill the evil wizard and then when he risks his life for your shared cause he succeeds but then he dies and then you’re instantly sent into another universe that’s exactly like your own but peaceful and right and you just have to integrate and do your best to live in this new realm and forget about your past and then you see the spitting image of your old dead friend who introduces himself as the first king of this land and welcomes you into his court as a trusted advisor.
