Hey everybody guess what?!? I moved! Despite it being a total pain in the butt and the FIFTH TIME I’ve moved in the past year!! It’s super exciting because I get to unpack and display all of my wonderful babies 💜💜💜 I’ve had to keep all my dolls tucked away for months because I was living in a house with two cats, and as much as I love those kitties, they liked to eat my dolls. I’m enjoying getting settled into my new space and hopefully I will find some time in the near future to get some doll making done. For now though I am taking it one day at a time 💜 tagged are the lovely artists that I got some of these guys from 💜

Today seems like the perfect day to share a little #tbt to this Thorin Oakenshield Satyr doll that I made over the summer! Probably one of the most nerve wracking custom orders I’ve ever done since it was my first ever boy doll. I’m so used to seeing my sweet little baby faces as feminine that putting a beard on one was surprisingly difficult! In the end I was super pleased with how he came out and happy that I pushed myself to do something so far out of my comfort zone. One of my biggest goals for 2018 is to get back into the doll making world! 2017 was a crazy ride with a lot of change. I love where I’ve ended up and I’m so happy to be in a place where I can start creating again. My shop is going to remain down for the time being as I am working without a computer for the time being but I hope to get that back up some time in the new year! For now though, I’m just enjoying creating the magical things that I love ❤️ This lady is so close to being completed! She just needs arms and some finishing details. I am beyond devastated right now. I’ve been working on this doll at work while it’s been slow and tried to use the oven in the craft room here. The entire thing over heated and melted straight through my fabric and scorched my clay. Never in all my years of doll making has something like this happened and I am absolutely heartbroken. 10+ hours of work on these legs to get them to this point. Im definitely not looking forward to starting over but hopefully the next pair can be even better
