The Roslina Longicorn (Rosalia alpina) has the blues!

It’s nice to see a Roslina Longicorns out and about. It doesn’t happen often.

Adults like this are only around for 3 to 6 weeks, hanging out in forests from the Alps to Poland and Slovakia.

The rest of their time is spent as larvae munching through dry, decaying wood. They spend some three years like that!

Dead wood makes for a pretty shoddy diet, so it takes a long time of dedicated eating before a grub is big enough to metamorphose into a beetle that can easily be over an inch long.

Please look at my cool legless beetle, I love him so much I found him like this 3 months ago on my way back from the grocery store. Assuming he's dead and being the vulture I am, I picked him up so he can go to my collection. I'm so glad I ended up doing that, because it turned out that he was alive, and here he is, these photos are recent and he's still with me, named Arvin by my friend I really don't know what happened, me and @salticibae think that something went wrong in the process of grub to bug, because even his wings are damaged. He is loved and he's managing though! He eats a variety of fruits, and has a nice house. He loves you all and he knows that if any of you are having a hard time, it will be getting better soon, he knows this and I trust him! ❤️ - On the identification part, I think he's some kind of rose chafer? If anyone knows please let me know!

Unkown Homoptera

I’m actually so upset about not being able to ID this one that I need to take a break from the computer for a bit.

I literally have no idea what he could be at the moment, but he definitely looks like a mature specimen from the homoptera suborder.
