i feel like so many baking youtubers don’t bake anymore…it’s like after they hit a certain amount of subscribers, they begin to bake less, you know ? it’s upsetting because that’s literally the entire reason that i subscribed in the first place. so many of them just make videos of themselves eating cakes instead of making them…trying cakes/desserts from all over the world, rating bakeries, (and worst of all) asking bakeries to recreate impossible AI cakes & rating them…ughhhhh!!!
how can something that’s so creative become so…not. the worst part is, these baking youtubers are insanely amazing bakers, too, they’re creative enough to come up with ideas on their own but they just either, don’t want to or want to follow the current baking trends in the community (which i understand because it is their job and they gotta get views to make money, but still). i rarely see themed baking videos now, but i feel like it needs to make a comeback, like, baking things from particular shows and movies or themed after them.
idk, i’ve been watching baking videos on youtube since i was a kid and i just feel like it’s lost its pizzazz, you know ? even the famous tiktok tend videos where they’ll bake whatever is currently popular is getting boring because it’s practically the same thing every time and it’s a bunch of recipes in one video as opposed to baking one really cool cake. hyper realistic cakes were super fun but i feel like they kind of died off, which is upsetting. i honestly just, personally, think that long from baking creators scramble to find content to fit the time and just slap things together, such as following trends, and that’s it. it feels like they don’t care, and i think they do such a thing because short form baking content has been doing quite well for a while now. i find short form baking content better than long form because there’s no AI, it’s exactly what i’m looking for and it isn’t like the current long form content, you know ?
i just wish the long form content was the same, i can’t watch just any old baking channel, i want to genuinely like the person’s vibe, energy, editing style, etc, and the content itself, you know ? i just, idk, i feel like it’s hard to come by. and yes, the argument of, “if you don’t like it, you don’t have to watch it,” comes into play here, and i get that, i just feel like there’s been such a drastic change over the past decade, especially with the introduction of AI and tiktok, it’s truly changed youtube baking side of the internet and i don’t think there’s any going back, which sucks.
idk, i feel like their videos lack effort, you know ? anyone can just sit back and eat and cake and tell you whether they like it or not, because at the end of the day, it’s all preference. not everyone can bake, and bake well, and bake something absolutely insane looking. i just wish they challenged themselves by baking impossible cakes, that aren’t AI, but are ideas they came up with themselves.
i can and will watch thousands of baking videos of people piping the same vintage cake design, too, it doesn’t have to be an impossible cake, i don’t care, i’ll watch anything, as long as their funny and have a good vibe, you know ? which these youtubers have, it’s just the content that’s lacking in quality.
this is such a niche thing to complain about, i know, but it’s all i see…so, lmao
Both of you giddily pack up all of each other's favorite snacks and drinks, as well as one or two things that are a bit more filling! The basket almost can't handle everything you decide to bring!
Once you two find a nice and comfy location, shaded by a tree and a bit more secluded for just you and your f/o, you get to work setting everything up! The cloth your f/o brought is comfortable and adorns the scene wonderfully!
Once everything is properly laid out around you, both of you dig in as your conversations flow lightly and naturally. It's almost impossible to notice how quickly time passes by while you get to listen to their voice.
Your f/o makes sure to compliment your cooking, or at the very least, the choices of food you picked out for them! You know them better than anyone else and they're so thankful to have someone so caring and mindful by their side.
Meanwhile, all the food your beloved prepared tastes wonderful, even if some of it looks a little silly! Some of the desserts they made have frosting that's meant to look like you, as well as little lopsided hearts and stars.
Once you're both done eating and drinking, you take the time to stack any dishes into the basket, occasionally resting your hands over your f/o's. Everything feels so safe and familiar when you're together, like you've spent countless lifetimes together.
Before heading back home, you take the time to enjoy the scenery and just lean your head against your f/o. Being near them while surrounded by such a gorgeous sight feels like perfect dream.
You don't have to have life figured out. Career, school, goals; all of it can be worked on one step at a time. Your f/o doesn't mind helping you figure out what's best for you or to help get your mind off the stress that may come with such important decisions!
You don't have to look a certain way. Fat, thin, muscular, tall, short, average. Your body is perfect to your f/o, not because of how it looked when you met, or how it looks now, but because it's your own. It's perfect because it's a part of you, an ever-changing work of art.
You don't have to always feel at your best. You're allowed to be angry, sad, empty, tired; it doesn't make you any less deserving of your f/o's love and care. They'll always do their best to help you work out your emotions or at least give you something to help you out with it all; whether it be space, a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on.
You don't have to be affectionate all the time. It's okay to have moments, short or long, where affection can be something difficult to muster. Your f/o still loves you and they know that you love them as well!
You don't have to be in the perfect environment. Harsh home life, complicated relationships with friends and/or family, your f/o will have your back no matter what. You'll always be able to rely on them in your darkest hour, and they'll never see you seeking them out as just a need for attention or overly clingy behavior. They're happy to be your safe place, no matter what you may be going through.
You don't have to be anything other than yourself. You don't need to look, act, think, talk, or do anything differently than you normally would! Your f/o's love for you is true and unconditional. They love everything about you, even the parts that you haven't learned to love about yourself yet.
Your f/o loves you for you. Through the best and the worst of it all, they'll stick by your side no matter what! Don't be hard on yourself, you're doing the best you can in your current situation, and that's all that really matters!

An outfit that feels like a cozy hug; furniture that cradles you nicely; a toy or plushy that's nice to hold. They want it to match your personality and needs!
They're overjoyed when they're able to surprise you with it, even more so when they realize that they hit the mark exactly how you've dreamed of! Seeing how excited you get over it makes their heart race and brings such a genuine smile to their face!

i need to immediately write a fanfic about shu working in a host club and falling for a returning customer….maybe she just got broken up with and this is the first host club she’s ever been to, and she’s there with a friend who wants to cheer her up and get her over her stupid ex (who obviously sucked) by having her be showered with attention by hot guys ?
her friend could be a regular and they get special treatment so the reader gets the same, in turn ? at the end of the night, shu writes her number down (i think that’s how it goes in host clubs, right ? so the host can keep asking when you’ll come back and see them again…aka, spend more money on them) but instead of asking her to come back out of hopes of spending more money, he just genuinely wants to see her and maybe they keep texting, far more than he usually would with a client and realises that he’s gaining feelings and when he asks her to come back one day, she says that she hasn’t got the money to and he’s like “it’s fine, just come, anyway, tonight’s on me” and he makes sure she’s taken care of. there could possibly be some jealousy, where shu asks her if she’s going to be coming back tomorrow and she says that she’s actually busy, and when he asks why, she reveals that she has a date planned, and he’s immediately jealous… “didn’t you just get out of a relationship ?” “yeah, but i’m feeling much better now and i think it’s time to get out there again” and he’s just seething with jealousy. (idk how i’ll fix that, i need to think more, lmao) and then he eventually asks her out on a date and they fall in love and live happily ever after.
i know the dark truths about host clubs, but this is a fantasy world in which none of that exists and it’s all just for fun, because no sadness exists when you’re the one creating a new world, right ? right.
this would be such a cute anime, too…has it been done ? it should be. i’m just spitballing here, this is all just from the top of my head with practically zero thought put into it and it’ll probably just go into my never ending list of drafts, but i think it’ll be a fun idea.

i always see it under leon kennedy cosplayers videos who are black, it’ll be like “leon n kennedy” instead of “leon s kennedy”…but under anyone else it’ll be like “biblically accurate cosplay”…ughhhh!! it’s like we can’t breathe without our skin colour being brought into the mix, or something.
i just saw this low budget vertical show come up on my tl and it’s literally called “jollof & kimchi”…yes, a black girl and an asian guy, and the comments were like “nollywood kdrama”…huh ?!? (honestly with a name like that, i feel like they were kinda asking for it atp, but still)
it just makes me not want to look at comments anymore, and the fact is, this kind of “humour” has never been humorous, ever! idk why it’s making people slap their knees, and it may have been started by black folk but i have seen way more non-black people make these jokes like it’s okay, too. it’s just so uncomfortable to see.
tbf, it kind of bleeds into another thing that i’ve seen, which is like “black person does this!” or “non-black people react to a black person’s hair” etc, and it just feels icky, like we’re a walking zoo attraction. it’s just so weird. i’ve luckily never gotten comments like this, even though i’ve been cosplaying for years, but it’s just…weird. very, very weird.
i honestly feel the way that one pinkie pie cosplayer felt about cupcakes, about dialovers :3 she was so real for that (and that interviewer was a dick)

barbie needs to create a cosy game like dreamlight valley, pokopia, paralives, animal crossing, etc, where every single barbie version ever exists and you can unlock each version as you progress the story.
you can create your own little character and it obviously has to have a story, too, with a villain and all that jazz, but it should include cleaning up a deserted or barren place, livening it up again. maybe the story could include finding all of the barbie’s and bringing them back to barbieland, maybe a catastrophe happened in which they were all blown away to their own worlds and forgot about the existence of barbieland and we have to remind them, bring them back build them a home and stuff.
i feel like barbie games are all very kid focused and kinda boring and they need to have a little more pizazz, you know ? get me in that meeting room, neow!
