After nearly 20 years, the poncho my MIL knitted for me is falling apart. So I decided to make myself a new one. Using this pattern.
It took me a while to find yarn with the recommended qualities, but eventually found one with this colour palette, which just seems made for me. π
After one (half) day of working on it, I'm very pleased so far.
Update after 3 days of work.
This is so much fun π
After almost one week, I made it through the first cake. Really loving how it's turning out, though the colour switches are a bit abrupt in this yarn at times...
Kinda forgot about updating this. π
So, after two weeks, I had mate it through two of the three cakes.
I thought I could leave it like that since the length of yarn I used by that point fit with what I had planned in for the pattern. But after wearing it for a day or two, I felt it was still too short. So I added the third yarn cake after all. π
I absolutely love how it turned out! It's so soft and fluffy. And the colours! π₯°
By now, my daughters requested ponchos of their own, and so they stop stealing this one, I already got started on the first. π
