Not only would my queen Joyce Byers never groom a teenaged boy who is literally younger than her oldest son in order to get sex from him once he's legal, but she would actively find that kind of thing disgusting. And if Billy had tried to flirt with her to get information like he felt the need to do with Karen, not only would she have either shut that down by either ignoring the advances or politely turning him down as a responsible adult should, she would also recognize that, for some reason, this teenaged boy feels the need to use his body almost as a payment to get stuff he needs, such as information on where his little sister is. Which I am willing to bet she would find extremely concerning and absolutely indicative of some kind of massive problem in his home life, and she would stop at nothing to figure out why he feels the need to do that so that if he's in a bad situation, she can at least try to help him. She never would have flirted back with him, she would have seen him flirting with her as a huge red flag and she'd try to help him rather than trying to take advantage of him. And I'm willing to bet that she'd very quickly clock him as being a victim of child abuse, and that would just make her even more dedicated to helping him in any way she could. Considering how Joyce is a survivor of domestic violence herself.
