Yeah sure,, this isn’t to say any of this will happen, it’s just stuff that would make me happy. A little just for fun list :’) 

SHEITH HUG REPRRISE,, 

Keith helping Shiro with minor day to day tasks that his new prosthetic is too clunky for. Just Keith helping Shiro adjust and both of them doing small domestic tasks, totally comfortable in each other’s space. 

Krolia talking to Shiro again and just reaffirming how important he is to her son. We see her approach Shiro out of all the other paladins about this in season 6. But then at the start of season 7, she also looks to Keith with this very approving, kindhearted glance when he says he’s going to stay with Shiro. It’s obvious she’s very supportive of whatever relationship they have, and whatever Shiro truly means to Keith–not only can she clearly see it, but she’s very much there for it. 

LET SHIRO CUDDLE KOSMO and then Keith would say something like, “He really likes you,” with the softest smile 

LET THEM TALK ABOUT THE FIGHT IN SEASON 6,, and just like…ideally Shiro would maybe caress Keith’s scar and they’d hug it out and I’d cry a little bit

Shiro tells Keith he remembers what he said during the fight and adds, “I love you too,”

FLASHBACK TO THE KERBEROS LAUNCH AND I’LL SOB

Ending scene where Keith and Shiro either return to the shack together, or decide to explore space side by side. Open ended enough to headcanon them in a committed relationship as they vow never to leave each other again. 

Shiro saving Keith again :’)) also panicking at the thought of losing him, cradling him desperately in his arms, calling out, pleading for him to come back with that rough voice scraped raw from sheer panic, the palpable relief when Keith is finally safe and whole in his arms 

A talk about Naxzela would definitely be neat I agree!! As would a talk about how Shiro feels about the whole being-transplanted-to-a-new-body-and-dying thing,, that’s a huge adjustment and I’d like some more insight as to how he’s coping 

Shiro congratulating Keith on a Garrison promotion and vice versa 

A definitive conclusion to the arc of quintessence sensitive Keith that’s now been further teased with Macidus

askdffglh anon this is just like,, so good,, I’ve always loved the symbolism of Keith starting off as Shiro’s right hand man and what it says about his personal loyalties right from the beginning. There are also so many scenes where their hands are just reaching out for one another,, it’s this whole thematic thing where they’re very tactile and use physical comfort as a means to anchor each other and it’s just so sweet,, 

Shiro when it’s Keith:

The fact that Shiro is able to let himself be vulnerable with Keith, that he doesn’t always have to shoulder the weight of the world alone and can learn to lean on someone else and ask for help–that’s a huge part of his overarching character arc. He’s able to let his guard down with Keith; there’s an implicit trust there. Which is especially heartfelt given how rare it is for media to depict strong masculine characters as being able to show weakness with one another. 

I MEAN,, YOU’RE NOT WRONG THOUGH,, listen full offense but like,, if anYONE knows how in love those dorks are it’s Haggar,, she basically said so lmao. 

Like, I think the fact that she knows Shiro and Keith have a soft spot for each other is HUGE in terms of manipulating others and finding tactical advantages in battle,, I just can’t see her not using that information against them in the final fight it’d honestly be such a waste 👀

It comes from the fact that when a lot of people look at some of Keith’s notes in the shack it seems like the last part of the scribbling says, “and it’s killing me when you’re away” which lines up perfectly with how crushing and unbearable losing Shiro has always been for Keith and honestly makes complete sense in canon given Keith’s feelings–and even admission of love for him

I think that’s actually impossible lmao, especially since the show runners have outright said that it’s completely valid to interpret sheith’s canon dynamic as 100% romantic in nature :’) I think they’re very much aware of the accompanying subtext that can be read in so many of these scenes, especially when they make the context decision to do things like:

Purposefully showed Shiro and Keith demonstrate a level of vulnerability and intimacy with one another that’s exclusive to their relationship

Have Keith break through to Shiro not by rehashing the brother line, but rather, through the powerful admission of “I love you.” And the fact that Shiro reacts to that and not the brother line when he is canonically a queer, mlm character, has some accompanying implications that I think there’s just no getting around. 

Deliberately parallel Keith with Shiro’s ex-boyfriend of all people–and to do so with the intention of portraying Keith as more dedicated to Shiro, the one willing to stay by his side, the one who willed Shiro back to life through like the Power of Love, Keith being Shiro’s most important relationship in the present whereas Adam had long since gone and was firmly rooted in the past 

They’ve also said not to expect Keith to tell anyone else he loves them, that Shiro and Keith afford a certain level of intimacy and vulnerability with one another they don’t extend to anyone else, they outright love each other, Keith would never be able to leave Shiro’s side, taking the time to build up Shiro’s most intimate relationship with his male best friend who admits his love for him and have neither of them written into a romance already. In the past, the show runners have admitted when something blindsided them. When certain fanon things got popular out of seemingly nowhere and completely surprised them, but that’s not the case here. There’s so much groundwork already in place. 

Lauren: “And that’s something that, where Adam might be able to walk away from a relationship, because he doesn’t feel that respect, that relationship is something that Keith would hold on to his whole life, and probably never be able to walk away from.” (source)

Joaquim: “The one exception Keith allowed in his life in terms of expressing himself was probably with Shiro, because he felt the closest to him. And that situation was an extreme series of events. I think he was pleading with him. I think he was letting him know exactly where he stood, and why this shouldn’t be happening. And why he knew that there was still good in there…If you look at Keith going back to the original episode, where he comes out of the shack, and greets Shiro, that’s a very different Keith than the way he acted with all the rest of the Paladins. So I think with Shiro, in particular, his guard is down a bit and he’s able to express himself.”

Lauren: “But don’t expect him to go telling anyone else he loves them.”

Joaquim: “That’s right. He’s not handing out hugs and love hearts to everybody.” (source)

They never said sheith’s dynamic was meant to be interpreted as strictly platonic, and always sort of left that question open-ended. So the fact that they never seemed surprised by the popularity of sheith, that they carefully cultivated this very well written relationship, that they said it was well within the bounds of canon to be interpreted as romantic–I think they know there’s definitely the potential for something there. 

Will [Shiro’s sexuality] change the undertones of his close relationship with Keith?

Lauren: “Fans are going to see it any way they want. Some people are going to say their relationship is just brotherly and others will say it’s 100 percent confirmed that they’re in a relationship.” (source)

im super stressed with finals stuff and also physically in a lot of pain cause my stomach’s killing me and Emotionally compromise lmao so here is a physical representation of the thing my heart is doing right now its all i can get out right now,, cause basically i’m just thinking back to every single stolen moment sheith has ever had and then just,,

Keith literally brings Shiro back to life with the power of Love and their friendship is completely tossed away in the ending, it feels noticeably absent, like they’re entirely different characters, it’s so strange, like there’s pieces missing?? They have no closure. And the kicker that Shiro “found his happiness” with someone whose name we don’t know, with Nobody when Keith had saved Shiro time and again and they’d had this intimately built up relationship and he’s literally blocked out from view is like a microcosm for how this whole thing makes me feel. 

I don’t hold anything against Lauren and Joaquim for it, I really don’t. I don’t think this was initially the ending they had planned, and I think they were trying to just make people happy. But it’s just not an ending for these characters I’ll ever like, and the fact that their relationship was the most intricately developed only to be tossed to the wayside is…strange. I can’t help but wonder why that happened. Even some of the staff art we saw drawn had more of that sense of intimacy and easy familiarity we were always used to seeing like?? I can’t even really recall them touching one another this entire season when they were literally getting cradled in each others’ arms last time it’s such a departure on every level of depth between them and like…I’m definitely down about it…I’m gonna always ship it of course, but I had hoped that spark we saw from the beginning would still be present when it was all said and done
