baby sea otter leno trying to practice controlling his body but he’s still so useless so he just wiggles

you all should watch videos on Joey the sea otter when he was a pup. because that is how i imagine leno whines. the rescuers are at least able to distinguish between if leno wants something or doesn’t like something lol

and i think leno finds a way out, he’ll have to. wildlife rescuers don’t keep the animals they rescue, at some point they will find an aquarium or something that will take them. and leno does not want that. he DOES have a family he has to get back to and are probably wondering where he is lol

they give him the name Boo because he whines so much lol. he drops his little pacifier, screams, and they say “oh boo hoo” and give it back. little Boo

he keeps dropping toys too. in his otter form he is still just a babe learning new skills and it’s frustrating that he can’t control his limbs like he wants to. every new hybrid, once they gain the ability to shift, has to go through the growing process of the animal they can shift into it, unfortunately it can’t just be the adult version right away. and while adult sea otters are very capable, pups are so useless and need help with everything. so leno is a little fussy with his toys when they drop and whines a lot, especially when he is trying to hold onto tom’s shirt but can’t because he still has to learn how to hold and let go of things 😭

they have to ween him off it :( but! leno does get a lot of toys he can hold. he loves holding things.

anyway sorry ive just been watching a lot of sea otter videos and i am so mesmerized by how useless otter pups are and think leno should be one.

dylan was meant to come into the bar but when tom saw leno he quickly texted him and called it off 😭

i don’t know anything about it. ive heard it happened and stuff but i didn’t look into it

tom who sets an alarm five minutes before he has to get up so he can cuddle with leno and dylan. leno never wakes up, just mumbles in his sleep as tom pulls him against his chest and props his chin on top of his head. dylan wakes up every time though and always scoots closer so tom and him can kiss for a bit. he’ll get up with tom and share coffee/breakfast with him until he has to leave, help him pack a few last minute things or pack his car. usually slow and bittersweet mornings when tom has to leave for a long road trip. finally before he leaves tom will go back and wake leno up and kiss him goodbye and let him know breakfast is downstairs for him and every time leno makes a 🥺 face
