ohhhhh my gosh you guys have no idea how excited I am for Leviticus to come out. It’s got a June release date in Australia (because ITS AN AUSTRALIAN FILM YESSSS YESSS WE’RE SO BACK) and I REALLY hope it opens in theatres. For those of you who don’t know the plot, Leviticus is a queer (YES) supernatural horror (GOD YES) film set in an overly religious small Australian town (ETHEL CAIN BUT MAKE IT AUSTRALIAN OH IM SO LOCKED IN) where these two boys are sent to conversion therapy (booooo tomato tomato) and from what I gathered from the trailer (this could be wrong) the people at the conversion therapy centre make them perform this weird exorcism ritual in an attempt to ‘cure’ them, but in doing so they release this demonic entity that stalks the boys and only they can see it. AND FUCKING GET THIS: this entity takes the form OF THE ONE THING THEY LOVE THE MOST: EACH OTHER. KILL ME NOWWWWWW. LORD IM SO EXCITED FOR THIS DAMN FILM TO BE OUT IM NEVER GOING TO STOP TALKING ABOUT IT. As a queer ✅ Australian ✅ teenager ✅ who has grown up in a very religious town ✅ and felt religious guilt many a times ✅ IM SO READY. IM ALREADY SAT IN THE THEATRE. This might be the horror movie of the year for me and it’s not even out yet
