How it feels complaining at you guys

i agree sooooo much with your post about the pwhl and the trans issue. I simply cannot like it because I'm a pwhl poster on main so. I do think they can get away with it tho if they sting it out a few more years and then get themselves a Reeeal convenient problematic sponsor that everyone can blame for everything. And the problematic sponsor wins because they get the cultural rep for supporting normal people. everyone comes out on top. But they really really need to avoid having a trans woman individually decide to try and get on a team. a lia thomas situation would be Brutal. although. they could just pin it all on ellan hughes and then be like. we understand but We Can't get rid of Ellen Hughes :(

for context: women's hockey fans are very very kweer positive and they are especially vocal about trans inclusion. it's sort of a time capsule of 2019 pronoun culture. these people have disappeared from the mainstream but that culture is still strong in women's hockey

but the pro women's hockey league (pwhl) does not have a "gender inclusion policy" either allowing or disallowing men to play in the league. a lot of fans are VERY mad about this

you know who's not mad? the players. because i would bet anything that 99% of the players do not want men on their teams. they are rational world class athletes with experience and self respect, and where they sit in the culture allows them to see the truth of trans ideology better than most

but one day this will blow up when there is a fundamental disconnect between the athletes, the organization, and the delusional self-righteous fans who have built these parasocial relationships in their heads. "of course my fav players would never commit a thought crime!"

it's an incredibly precarious position for the league to be in because they need to keep ALL of these people happy: the players + the paying customers, or this will all end in another nuclear blast of transactivist scorched earth
