As my boyfriend and I stood near the railing of the clock tower, admiring the magnificent sunset, I glanced at him from the corner of my eye. My heart racing, and a small smile spread across my face, accompanied by a tiny blush on my chubby cheeks. I was trying not to appear nervous as I thought about what I am going to do next.
It has been one year and five months since we started dating, and things have seemed to be working out well between us. At first, I was unsure about our compatibility because of our personality differences. He is a social ambivert, while I'm a shy introvert. He was the first one to approach me, and although I was hesitant at first, I figured there was nothing wrong with getting to know the other person.
Gathering my courage, I took a few steps closer towards him. And called out his name nervously, he responded by turning his body to face me. I closed my eyes, took a deep breath, and displayed a smile on my face. Taking his large hands in mine, I gently caressed his fingers and tiptoed to reach his height. I stared into his eyes for a moment before pressing my soft,strawberry-flavoured lips against his cherry ones. Because of the height difference, I have difficulty kissing him so I just planted a soft peak on his lips.
I look away shyly avoiding eye contact, he locks his right hand with mine, crouching down to reach my level and digs his other hand into my hair pulling me closer for another kiss.
We each other softly, melting into each other's mouth, swaying our lips into a rhythm,we continued for a good two-three minutes before I used my free hand to push him lightly " I can't breathe" I said gasping for air.
He gave me a warm smile, the smile which made me fall head over heels for him, the smile which melted the iron bars protecting my heart, the smile which lit up my darkest days and gave me the courage to try again, the smile of the guy for whom I would fall for the next seven lives.
He brought our head closer,forehead touching.We stared into each other's eyes, not uttering a single word, just smiling at each other.
He opens his arms and I slides into them without hesitation.
Watching the sun hug the mountains.
