I haven't read the red river manga yet but the anime is just not good... the animation has been not amazing but the battle scene in the latest episode shows just how bad it really is. I think if I had already read the manga I would hate this adaptation even more based on what people are saying. why can't shoujo these days ever get good adaptations

Yeah... if only it had even half the budget of Vinland Saga, I could take it more seriously. They didn't even show Yuri's signature scene with her blade against the sisters in the anime...

They just show her hand instead, before Kail swoops in to grab the sword...

Such a downgrade.
