SUMMARY. every week there will be a range of shifting prompts based on tarot cards! (not including minor arcana... that would take quite a while)

THE FOOL. 〝 the embrace of new beginnings. 〞 anything about your first day in your desired reality! what will you wear? what is your schedule? who will you meet?

THE MAGICIAN. 〝 tapping into one's full potential. 〞 what are your talents/capabilities specific to your dr? do you have powers? tell us the specifics! can you sing? show us your discography! can you act? show us what you've performed in!

THE HIGH PRIESTESS. 〝 things around you may not be what they appear. 〞 what does your dr look like? how do you look? create a moodboard of your dr, or your dr self. go into detail about your dr self: do you have tattoos, piercings, etc. is there any differences between your dr and cr?

THE EMPRESS. 〝 association with maternal influence. 〞 tell us about your family! are you planning on having kids/are you a parent? do you have any siblings? are you a nepo baby? you could even draw your family tree!

THE EMPEROR. 〝 everything is under your control 〞 let's talk structure, control, and main character energy! what is something in your daily routine you have control of? what do you eat in a day? where do you decide to go between classes? do you have your own room, dorm, or private space? what does it look like?

THE HIEROPHANT. 〝 tradition and convention. 〞 write a journal entry from a day in one of your drs that has some sort of tradition. e.g. hogwarts: the triwizard tournament, christmas dinner, the yule ball, etc.

THE LOVERS. 〝 love and being in sync with someone special. 〞 i think this one's kinda obvious.. anything about your significant other! a collection of love letters/text messages between you and your s/o, a moodboard, a playlist, tell us how you met, etc.

THE CHARIOT. 〝 moving forward in a positive direction. 〞 tell us about a journey in your dr! how was your first ever train ride to a certain magical school? do you want to go on a roadtrip sometime? how about a world tour?

STRENGTH. 〝 triumphant conclusion to a major life problem. 〞 you’ve overcome something in your desired reality - what was it? simply tell us about, or make a playlist or moodboard about your strength arc! was it a moment of bravery, emotional healing, or standing up for yourself? did you win a battle, mend a broken friendship, or finally face your fears?

THE HERMIT. 〝 gain a greater understanding of oneself. 〞 who is someone in your dr who knows you better than yourself? they could be a significant other, a friend, a family member, or even a pet! what about your fandom or the press? is there a paparazzi story you wanna share?

WHEEL OF FORTUNE. 〝 fate, destiny, and unexpected change. 〞 create your own personal wheel of fortune. what symbols, people, or places would appear on it that represent luck in your dr?

WEEK THREE. ( XI XII XIII XIV XV )

JUSTICE. 〝 fairness, truth, and taking accountability. 〞 let's play truth or truth! (you're welcome to answer each question with a dr - or drs - of your choice, you don't need to answer for one specific dr) i. do you think you're a good person in your dr? why or why not? ii. is there a 'bad guy' in your dr who you secretly understand too well? iii. what are you shifting to your dr for? fame? love? money? drama? or just the experience? iv. what's the most controversial thing you've done/will do in your dr?.. come on... we won't judge v. what's your juiciest secret in your dr?

THE HANGED MAN. 〝 the importance of gaining new perspectives in our own lives. 〞 create a moodboard of how you look in the eyes of someone important in your dr. e.g. your s/o, friend(s), kids, parents, pet, teachers, etc.

DEATH. 〝 typically implies an end. 〞 tell us about an ex partner or ex friend in your dr. who are they? how did you meet? why didn't things work out?

TEMPERANCE. 〝 balance, healing, and harmony 〞 create your dr care kit! design a care package full of things that help you feel balanced in your dr items can be something in your cr (like candles, crystals, tea blends) or dr-specific (like a potion your best friend brews, or a custom playlist from your s/o).

THE DEVIL. 〝 temptation, indulgence, and desire. 〞 host your dr vice party! you're throwing an invite-only after hours party... what kind of chaos ensues? who's on the guest list? who's not on the guest list? what's your vice? are you drinking expensive wine, wearing something dramatic, sneaking off to gossip? you could add a playlist that matches the vibe, write a fake magazine article or paparazzi coverage of the night, or describe what happens when the party starts to spiral (affairs? arguments? unexpected truths?).

WEEK FOUR. ( XVI XVII XVIII XIX XX XXI )

THE TOWER. 〝 sudden unforseen change. 〞 create two moodboards of before and after a change in your dr. it could be a relationship, fame, friendship, etc.

THE STAR. 〝 optimism, hope, and renewal. 〞 tell us about one of your favourite scenarios you've scripted that you’re excited to experience! is it something simple like a hang out with your friend? or something massive like your wedding day?

THE MOON. 〝 illusion, mystery, and the subconscious. 〞 create a mysterious letter or message your dr self receives. it could be from the universe, a loved one, future-you, or anonymous! and what is your reaction?

THE SUN. 〝 representative of the universe coming together and agreeing with your path. 〞 create a highlight reel of your dr! pick 3+ 'scenes' that show your dr self at your happiest, and describe them in short bursts, moodboard them, edit them, or even make them look like instagram highlights.

JUDGEMENT. 〝 reflection, evolution, and recognition. 〞 your reality yearbook! hand out yearbook-style superlatives of yourself and others in your dr. bonus: include mini yearbook quotes for each person :)

❝how does aging work for vampires?❞

vampires age as they wish. some stop at 18. others at 30. a child may even stop at 8 just to get back at their parents (i know i have..). we can always choose to grow older if we wish, but we can never regress back in time. i think it's why many of us have chosen to stay at the age we first chose, for fear we'd regret it. even as immortals, we fear aging.

❝what powers do vampires have?❞

it's the usual few. compulsion, enhanced senses, shapeshifting into a bat and if you're lucky, another creature. against humans, these powers are useful, yes, but against other vampires? just pray that you're not on the bottom of the hierarchy.. it's not fun for an elder vampire or a noble one to overpower you.

❝speaking of hierarchy..❞

there are two different kinds of hierarchy: one of age, and one of power. age is easily explained – the older you are, the more powerful you are due to your experience. if one was a young vampire, they would find themselves easily overwhelmed by an elder.

as of power, it'd depend who Turns you, or who gave birth to you (depending on how you became a vampire). I belong to the noble family of Nightwines, hence I am pretty powerful, only overshadowed by my older siblings, parents etc. there are relatives who i can overpower even if they are older than me, and that is because i am part of the "main" family, hence my power is more ancient, and less diluted.

if you were Turned, it'd just depend on who's blood now runs in your veins and the power it contains. you'd then be of a similar power level to your Sire, though you will always be able to be overwhelmed by them. Turned vampires can never betray their Sire – there is something in their blood that makes them physically unable to do so; they'd rather stake themselves for eternity.

❝...stake themselves?❞

ah yes. stakes. in this reality, there is no true death – such is the fate of immortals. instead, if one were to stake a vampire, they merely sleep, their bodies shutting down into what one could call hibernation as their minds drift. some vampires grow tired of living and stake themselves for years; usually assigning someone to pull the stake out after a few decades, centuries or however long they wish to be gone for. there are few that tell no one and stake themselves, hiding away from the world in hopes of never waking up.

❝what about sleep?❞

as for sleeping, vampires don't need much sleep. we usually just tuck ourselves in bed (whatever the comfortable position is, even if it is being upside down) at around 1 am and we're out till around 8 am (or i am, anyway). when we are asleep, blood turns to stop circulating so when we first wake up, we will need to drink blood immediately to get our bodies to work properly again, if not it'd be uncomfortable.

❝why is it called ancient vampire dr?❞

it's because at first, i wanted to shift and have been centuries old before realising i'd prefer to actually experience those centuries myself, alongside hobie. it's set in the 1600s anyway, so it is pretty ancient (to me), and i can't wait to experience it.
