I hate the phrase “manifest, but also do the work” not that I hate it per se, but it makes me a little uncomfortable. It’s as if they don’t really understand the concept of manifestation. At the same time, I think this phrase and this way of thinking are the main reasons why so many people dismiss manifestation for what it is.

I understand why many people see manifestation as a scam; they sell you courses, they tell you about this fantastic idea where you can have whatever you want, but then they tell you that you have to “align yourself energetically,” that you must “work hard for what you want.” If we have to work hard… then where does manifestation come in? If I want to be rich, where will I get the necessary connections if I didn’t have them before? If I want to move to another country, how will I get the paperwork?

And I’ll always blame all of this on the law of attraction.

You don’t need to lift a finger to get what you want. Besides, I think many of us already know that manifestation is the same as shifting, so you can wake up in a reality where you already have everything you desire. By this, I want to make it clear that I don’t see anything wrong with taking action. “Inspired action” is exactly that—inspired. Maybe you’re manifesting a good grade on your exam and today you woke up with a sudden urge to study. DO IT, study. It’s perfectly fine, but don’t see it as something you have to do in order to manifest. Don’t think that the only way to get that grade is by studying hard for five hours, because that’s not the case.
