Just had a guy who stated that he is a US veteran with PTSD tell me my C-PTSD is basically a joke because I'm a civilian. Thanks asshole. The man who raped me was active duty at the time. My current husband is active duty. Dude was barking up the wrong tree. Has this happened to anyone else? Why would a person who suffers from this illness or anything like it purposefully say shitty things to another sufferer? In my opinion, if you're going through it, then you know how difficult and painful and scary it is. If you're going through it, you should know better than to try to do or say anything to downgrade or hurt a fellow sufferer. Thoughts?
