I apologise for my lack of posts lately but I have had a busy few months jam packed full of travel to Mexico, road tripping across the USA, weekending in Portland, day tripping to Monterey, Santa Cruz, Lake Tahoe, Half Moon Bay, basically trying to get my fill of traveling America before I have to go home to Australia for Christmas. So here are some piccies for you:

> Hanging out in downtown Guadalajara, Mexico. This is now my 3rd time travelling to Mexico, I just can't seem to get enough. Such a vibrant, colourful country, with some of the warmest, most beautiful people I have ever met.

>The tiny car we drove, from NY to SF with: 4 people, 2 guitars, 2 large suitcases, 4 sleeping bags, 4 tents and a whole lotta personality. Every day was a struggle to fit everything into the car, we were behind the clock most days, endured smelly feet, smelly farts, crappy meals from gas stations and sometimes zero sleep, but it was one of the best experiences of my life and I wouldn't change a single thing about it. 

>First night camping, Michigan. 

>Wicker Park, Chicago. One of the coolest cities in the U.S. Everyone is ridiculously nice in Chicago and there are some beautiful buildings. Also, we rented bikes and rode around the city which I think is the best way to see Chicago.  

>Lots of corn fields in Wisconsin.

>Eric and I jamming in the Badlands, South Dakota.

> The amazing Badlands, SD. It looked like some prehistoric, magical place.

> Eric and I at the Salt Flats, Utah. We all had salt caked to the bottom of our shoes. I tried some. It tasted salty.

So I'm super excited to announce these upcoming gigs! Been working super hard in the studio because we will be LAUNCHING THE NEW EP on June 7th at Bazaar Cafe!! It's going to be a great night, also featuring the beautiful music of both Sasha Reynolds and Ellisa Hammersla.

a flurry of strangled trees

birds shake in their feathers

i shake beneath my skin

shake off the bleak winter

trapped in frost, pinned to the

underside of my wrist lining

these fingers that grasp  everything they touch with fervor

be anxious for nothing

wash out with some detergent

and a gentle rinse

well ive been washing for years

trying to lift these marks 

from my skin
