It's all down to you: your choices.
Did you watch War of the Sontarans and come out of it with a hyperfixation on the Crimean War?
Did you watch Survivors of the Flux and come out of it with a hyperfixation on the early 1900's?
Do you love Classic Who and want to throw in easter eggs and utilize your obscure knowledge in writing?
Do you like working on collaborative projects inspired by Doctor Who?
Maybe write a bit of fanfic to expand upon or alter canon to keep things interesting?
I've written over 60,000 words (and a bit of code and such) for a choose your own story inspired by 13's series 13 (yes, that makes about as much sense as the show.) There are tons of opportunities for folks to dig in and write page(s). You could write some near the beginning on Halloween, or on Planet Time (want to go in the Doctor's timestream?), maybe puzzle your way through Kaarvanista's ship, or navigate various obstacles in the 1900's. I did a deep dive in the 1960's more than once since the series came out and wrote a bunch of that section (but there's still more to write, as ever) and I'm sure there's much more to the Crimean War (which the US education system didn't even mention).

i don’t think a lot of people understand how important it is to me that Ryland Grace, the main character from a popular book and movie, being commonly headcanoned as aroace with little to no romance involved. his relation to rocky as a companion and best friend is the relationship that people talk about the most. the power of friendship saved the day with no unnecessary b-plot romance. local man loved humanity and his alien best friend so much he saved both of their galaxies and planets. that’s so awesome, sometimes i’d never thought i’d see something like this
