I always have the hardest time Starting a project.  No matter what I’m working on, I always know all of the work necessary to achieve my goal, and exactly how I envision the finished product but it is soooo difficult for me to Begin.  I always stumble upon an excuse or “What if…” that hinders my progress.  I become so engulfed with doubt that I completely avoid laying down the necessary blocks for a sturdy foundation.  Instead, I concoct the idea in my mind that I’d be better off “hitting the ground running” to avoid anything what may slow me down.  I figure if I move quickly and stealthily enough that nothing or no one can have a chance to stop me.  This mindset, albeit brilliant (if I do say so myself) has constantly put me into situations where I rob myself of success. I’m reminded of the saying, “Maybe you should learn the basics before re-inventing the wheel.”  It can be slightly intimidating and even frustrating for me to Start fresh while working diligently (and patiently) for a goal, especially when I feel the goal has already been granted to me by my Father.  However, I’m learning before I can enjoy the fruits of my labor I have to be willing to buckle down and Start somewhere.  I choose to Start today, right here and now with my faith.  I choose to humble myself and remain as close to the source of my success from Beginning to the end.  As I Begin this new journey, I’m quite sure of where God is leading me and I am quite sure he won’t lead me astray.  I’m making a choice to relinquish control, doubt, and worry and let my faith in Christ and his might guide the way. Before we Begin anything I think it’s important to redirect our works to the source.  We serve a powerful God who longs to connect and walk with us every day.  All we need to do is trust him.
