The older I get, the more I can’t stomach the energy of people who are just waiting for a reason to be outraged and look for every single bad faith way to take every single interaction. Your moral superiority won’t save your soul. If there is a God then they know what you are!!!
#be generous#take a moment#try and meet people in the best possible way#society desperately needs it!!!!#it’s never the people who have real genuine reasons to be that cynical that are either#like if you are from a racialised minority of course you’re gonna be more alert but it’s never people with reason#it’s always people who want to be the winner of moral purity#working in the community really opened my eyes to this#I would rather be around somebody so different to me that will tolerate me but is genuinely working for a better tomorrow#than somebody who is identical to me who is just a cynical mess
