A lot of people who have never been suicidal have this impression that suicidal people just need to be reminded how many people love them or that death is irreversible. They know this already. Being suicidal is about a lack of choices. The reality is that suicide is the last choice left when all other choices are stripped away. If you want someone to stay alive, you need to find or build them another choice.
I have permission to share this with you. I was talking to my friend this morning, and he told me that he wanted to die. His life has been continuous overlapping traumas the past few years. He has been living with chronic pain for a long time, he is disabled and struggles with dizziness and fainting. He is homeless and food insecure. He's been in and out of the hospital. He's been asking everyone for help so he can buy his medicine and some food. He told me that when he tries to talk about this on tumblr, nobody listens to him.
He needs more choices. Dying is his last choice. @fadel-dani would rather eat a good meal, take some pain medication, have a warm and dry place to stay. He'd rather travel with his parents to a better resourced hospital where he can get surgery. He'd rather be in a safe enough place that he can rest without worrying about bombs and gunfire. If you donate to him, you can give him those other choices.
I was discharged from the hospital yesterday, and my health is very poor. I've been experiencing fainting spells and loss of consciousness for the past two days, and I can barely write this post now to tell you that I desperately need your help. Please help me so I can buy my medication as soon as possible and raise the funds I need for my travel and surgery. Please donate.
Please help my friend. He is such a sweet and thoughtful person, and it breaks my heart how much this world has hurt him.

being trans is easier when youre white.
being gay is easier when youre white.
being disabled is easier when youre white.
being a woman is easier when youre white.
being autistic is easier when youre white.
oppression is eased when you are white, as you get extra privileges, and your whiteness is seen as a positive characteristic that in some ways counter-balances your other forms of being a minority. whiteness controls everything.
you are automatically way more innocent in your own oppression as a gay, trans, disabled person because of your whiteness.
