Artist: Yeah you can draw anything of my characters I literally do not care
Comments: "But what if I draw the MALE character PREGNANT đ" "What if I draw the villain guy pregnant, guys, maybe it'll teach him a lesson đ" "Hehehe ANYTHING? But anything means they can draw SEX!!??!!"
Hi I am so tired of this if you can't tell. Cool, draw porn of the characters. Have fun. You're being Avengers movie level corny about how you're allowed to. However, pregnant men are not inherently sexual. Pregnant men exist and it's not crazy. Pregnancy is not a punishment.

Important Update from the Wasp Nest
The paper wasp foundress is starting to have wasp babies. I think 4 or 5 have emerged from the hexagons.
Except wasps don't have babies.
They pop out full-sized.
I was expecting cute little wasps that I could photograph and suddenly all these grown-ass ones appeared. And the queen put them right to work doing nest security.
Can you imagine any other species doing that?
Like, you bring your freshly delivered full-sized human home from the hospital and then immediately tell them to guard the door.
The queen got used to me going out to feed the birds every day. She just ignored me and did her foundress duties. But now these non-baby, baby wasps are buzzing at me.
99 out of 100 people would have drowned that nest in a can of Raid.
And these ungrateful newborns are buzzing at me.
Kids, amirite?
This is Tie, she is going to eat all of the notes
reblog to feed her notes
How is she doing this
As a Greek, in response to the current controversy about Matt Damon being cast as Odysseus, I'd just like to share that one of the moments that changed my brain chemistry as a kid was reading a novelized version of the Odyssey and coming across the following description of Odysseus when Circe sees him for the first time and thinks he's hot: "his hair curled like a clematis and his eyes were very brown".
So may I present my own casting choice for Odysseus:
Excuse me???
you are right and you should say it.
Is this the face of a man who would put his own infant in front of a plow to avoid going to war?
Absolutely not
You know who would try that shit?
Is this the face of a man who would defy the very gods to get home to his wife?
You know who would defy the gods just to show he could get away with it?
The last thing Penelope's suitors ever see:
Love myself? The thing that got Narcissus killed?
I learned in my political science class that all major famines in the 20th century and onward have been caused by oppressive groups or political situations restricting access to food, NOT natural causes like crop failure
This is literally the point that Indian economist Amartya Sen made that won him the Nobel prize in economics. As a child, he survived one of the several Bengal famines that were organised by the British colonisers in India. He developed his theory on famines, which is that they were more about distribution of food rather than production or availability of it

Sapphic Books With Bridgerton Vibes #7
Book: The Lady's Guide to Celestial Mechanics
Author: Olivia Waite
This book is so much more than just a romance! It's a story of intellectual women navigating their way through a patriarchal world. It shows how science, art, and overall history having fewer female names than male is not a result of women being less capable, but rather patriarchal society actively preventing women from being recognised.
It has older queer women helping younger queer women find their identity, queer men and women protecting each other, and male allies. It has many strong, independent, and intellectual women building their own communities and businesses, not letting men's dismissal dishearten them.
The romance for which I read this book is just as good as the feminism. The lovers uplift, motivate, and help each other reach their full potential and also to heal from past traumas all while dealing with present day circumstances as a team. It was a delight seeing Catherine heal from everything her now deceased husband had put her through with Lucy's help, and Lucy in turn dealing with the Polite Science Society (who are anything but polite to women) with Catherine by her side. And they don't just help each other, but make it their mission to uplift other talented women who got sidelined.
It's a very beautiful sapphic-feminist book with a satisfying ending. There's a major twist near the end I did not see coming. It was a pleasant surprise. But of course, I won't spoil it for you.
I love Olivia Waite's writing. She's poetic and passionate, as well as witty. Her language is kind of similar to classic authors but not too challenging for modern readers to understand. I love how Lucy thinks in scientific patterns. She first analyses a clue and then draws a conclusion based on that. Sometimes the conclusion is just something like âneeds more observationâ. I also love all the feminist quotes. This one is my most favourite:
"Womenâs ideas are treated as though they sprung from nowhere, to be claimed by the first man who comes along. Every generation had women stand up and ask to be countedâand every generation of brilliant, insightful, educated men has raised a hand and wiped those womenâs names from the greater historical record."
Overall an amazing read. Yearning is through the roof (not without a little drama and jealousy), a fair amount of spicy scenes, intellectual conversations, community building, second chance at love, dealing with loss, finding one's own identity, women helping womenâthis book has it all! I highly recommend this amazing novel to everyone.
I don't think Calypso just falls in love with heroes because they're so awesome or whatever. I think she's so lonely she grows attached to any person who washes up there. Wouldnât we do the same if we were in her place? Circe at least has her nymphs and animals. Calypso has nobody! If she had some friends she wouldnât get attached to those stupid dusty ass heroes who don't care about her and who I'm sure SMELL NASTY! JUSTICE FOR CALYPSO đš
The Owl House is like, "What if you walked into a magical world full of witches and mythical creatures where you found family, friends, and romance, and finally belonged" and Amphibia is like, "Welcome to the world of talking frogs! Hope you like eating bugs"
Cancel all your plans y'all the stars are on some bullshit again

This is half a plot for a modern Shakespearean comedy of errors.
Romcom where two people meet cute and bond over how awful their exes were and plan elaborate revenge schemes but it turns out they both transitioned and are helping to plan revenge plots against themselves
