it was certainly available in vietnamese at some point, but i can’t say where to find it now. i tried searching for it in various ways, but i couldn’t find anything. such a shame, because sebastian not remembering that he’s a demon or how he’s supposed to behave around ciel!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I currently reside in Japan so these old doujins are accessible, even for a newer fan like me!

However, the 2nd hand doujin shops that I frequent in Ikebukuro (Surugaya, K-Books, Lashinbang, Mandarake) are often out of stock/have very few selections for Kuro doujins >.<

So I mostly do online orders from Surugaya, Mandarake, and Yahoo Auctions

You're welcome! Sometimes authors will make their works available digitally for a limited time on Pixiv (or Poipiku or Privatter), so it is best to keep an eye on their Twitter for announcements.

That was how I got the digital versions of Seto-san's あたら夜 and Schwarz. They were available for a limited time at Pixiv during the sbcl web-only event last 2/14.

It is highly unlikely that they would sell a digital version cuz that would mean profiting from an intellectual property (IP) they don't own.

Doujinshi based on copyrighted IPs already exist in a legal gray area. Technically, they are already infringing copyright.

Under Japanese law, copyright infringement is treated as shinkokuzai (no trial without complaint), which is part of why this culture has been allowed to exist...

The reason first-hand doujin books and merch are usually cheap is that the price is generally intended to cover printing costs and event table fees, instead of generating significant profit. (In fact, some artists even operate at a loss. I have seen tables where the artist wasn't even selling anything at all -- only handing out free postcards or free 4 page comics -- just doing it for the love of the game 🫨 and well maybe, for a chance to get scouted by a publisher)

Anyways, copyright holders usually turn a blind eye to these, especially since selling is in a controlled environment--in events organised by Akaboo/Youyou/Comiket/etc. But once they see that someone is making substantial profits from their IP, they are much more likely to take legal action.
