How to get people to understand that you knowing you won't be able to live a normal steady life and be happy and just not wanting to live a normal life isn't the same thing. I am a victim of a lot of childhood trauma. I have been physically, sexually, and emotionally abused throughout childhood as well as emotionally and physically neglected, been around untreated mental illness, my parents and uncle are/were drug addicts, my grandma is a alcoholic, i was in foster care, got adopted by my grandparents, have had a lot of trauma with friendships, ect ect. I am impacted by this stuff everyday especially the sexual trauma and the whole situation with my parents and foster care and then also the neglect that is still taking place with my grandparents gotta love having my medical care pretty much completely ignored. And i struggle daily because of this stuff. I have anxiety issues, panic attacks, insomnia, depression, dissociation, have had sh issues, have attempted my life, ect ect. I will always have these issues. Even if I get better coping skills and find happiness i will still struggle daily. I will still think about it. And i know with how I operate that i can't reach a full life and heal and process without being in pain constantly and constantly having bad falls where I get super bad if I live a normal life. If I get a normal job. If I have to leave my house daily to do the same thing everyday. If I have a job where I have to listen to other people and can't plan things myself. If I can't have a super flexible schedule because I have days where I get so depressed and/or am in so much pain I can't get up. And I have therapy which I need to go to to heal because without it I can't operate and I internalized all of it. And i wish the people around me understood that. I wish they saw that i don't want to be this way. That this isn't just a choice i want to make, but rather a choice I have to make to survive. I can't live a normal life. Because a normal life would literally kill me. Even if it didn't physically kill me. It'd tear my mental health down till I wouldn't be able to take ot anymore. And i know that. Because I know myself. And I wish more people in my life understood and saw that.

So i recently have slightly recovered a littleeeee bit of a memory of being assaulted in a bathroom by a man while in the bath and like yeah I have already been remembering other stuff in like my bedroom and shit most likely by family friends of my parents but this part is specifically making me feel super nauseous and is freaking me out a bit because that means that one of the people who has abused me was close enough to be allowed in the room when I was literally taking a bath and idk how im supposed to feel or react about that right now.

Watching a film about child sexual abuse and recovered memories and this lady is interviewing victims, family members who don't belive in abuse, and right now a doctor who just straight up claimed that a child under 2 can't ever remember or be affected by sexual abuse because "they don't have memories of ANYTHING that happened". I can remember parts of my 1st birthday. And i know that that memory isn't false because I told my grandma I remembered the exact highchair I was in and my head being pushed into a cake and she confirmed thoese things were true. I do not have access to pictures or videos of that day. I still remember it. The fact that a doctor especially one who specifically is in the psychology part can claim such a false and crazy statement is actually fucking insane. Ooooo I'm so fucking mad at this guy someone get his ass holy fucking shit.
