Your life begins to change the day you take responsibility for it.

If you end up with a boring, miserable life because you listened to your mom, your dad, your teacher, your priest, or some guy on television telling you how to do your shit, then you deserve it.

I didn’t know why I was going to cry, but I knew that if anybody spoke to me or looked too closely the tears would fly out of my eyes and the sobs would fly out of my throat and I’d cry for a week.

They call you heartless; but you have a heart and I love you for being ashamed to show it.

I’m too much and not enough, in that order.

We laughed. We cried. We loved.

We are all broken, that’s how the light gets in.

People are just as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be. When I look at a sunset, I don’t find myself saying, “Soften the orange a bit on the right hand corner.” I don’t try to control a sunset. I watch with awe as it unfolds.

I’ve loved you from the very first day.

you should never have to apologize for the way you need to be loved.

Don’t take anything personally. Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions of others, you won’t be the victim of needless suffering.
