SAOIRSE RONAN as JO MARCH Little Women (2019) dir. Greta Gerwig
think about your life - think about your dreams you planned. think about the moment thatâs so close at hand. indie companion au cousland of dragon age. by bee.
dalishflameâ:
âOh, youâre Greer!â For someone at risk of being very publicly murdered, Atreion sounded quite delighted. This time his grin was genuine, not even hesitating to link their arms. âOh, our dear Nightingale has told me all about you! I did hope that Iâd run into you one of these days. What a stroke of luck, eh?â
Well, any friend of his terrifying advisor was absolutely a friend of Atreionâs. This simplified things quite a bit. The Arl of Redcliffe was still sore about wrecking his hall during the whole Magister Incident, so causing a brawl in the middle of a street was⌠unwise, especially when his magic leant towards the destructive side of things.
But if he had someone to fight with, someone who could watch his back in close quartersâŚ
A stroke of luck indeed.
âOh, we are absolutely eliminating them.â He grinned, ears twitching in the direction of their little stalker. No running feet or ringing knives yet. Good. âI got a good look: no markers or uniform, so Iâm guessing common garden variety of hired goon. Should be easy enough to lure away, and the Crows or the House of Repose wonât be billing me for wasted materials again.â
âSo My Lady Cousland, any ideas?â
âto be honest, you can scarcely call it luck ; iâd heard word your lot would be here and i was in the area, visiting an old friend. figured i might lurk around and see if i could track you down.â there was always the option to simply show up at the inquisitionâs base of operations, of course, but that would involve all the fanfare and such nonsense her name requires ; greer likes this better. or rather - she WOULD, were it not for someone else tracking the herald down at the same time.
her arm stays firmly looped in his and greer doesnât even glance backwards as she tugs slightly in the direction of the docks. REDCLIFFE is well known to her. she is a traveler, yes, but in the ten years since the blight she has seen it fit to come back every once and a while. there are too many threads connecting her here to sever. âoh, about a dozen. dozen and a half. down this way, thereâs a spot by the end of the wharf that will seem like a paradise for them âtill we attack back. nice and secluded, too, so we wonât draw too much attention. unless THE HERALD SLAYS ASSASSIN would make good gossip for you?â
runaljodâ:
HIS HANDS ARE DEEP WITHIN the dampened soil strewn out before him ; every SEED had been planned and planted accordingly, to THRIVE ( he knew the make up of each seedling, as easily as he knew the laces of his armor. both were second nature ). FOOTFALLS lift honeyed - emeralds toward the approaching guest, and a soft smile curls along full PETALS. â Lady Greer, â the GREETING spills of his tongue like a song, and Magni is hasty in attempting to wipe the SOIL for his hands, onto his trousers. â they are not much NOW, but soon enough, there will be enough COLOR to rival the sunset. âÂ
@fawnslayâÂ
âiâll be sure to keep my hands far from them,â in the pale morning light, with her hair loose and hands swinging empty by her sides, greer feels more HERSELF than she has in a long while, âiâve been cursed with a black thumb ; the herbalists and gardeners at home always shooed me away for fear iâd somehow kill each and every plant i touched.â her smile is bolder, louder, the laugh in her voice making the words dance one after the other. âiâd offer help, but i doubt youâd want to risk your sunset.â

The elf at her side gave her a dazzling smile, but close as they were it was very obviously for show. It was too rigid, never meeting his eyes, and down by his own sides his hands had balled into fists.
âAssassin.â He murmured, then laughed as if she had told the funniest joke heâd ever heard. It looked downright deranged. âAnd they want what they usually want: the Herald dead. Probably with nasty things done to my corpse for good measure.â An old man pushing a wheelbarrow came the opposite way down the street, and the elf stepped around it, a hand going to her arm as if to help her, too. He didnât remove it after, keeping up the facade. âI really am sorry to be so familiar, messere, but if you help me get away Iâll gladly repay you with whatever is in my power to give.â
she had recognized THE LORD HERALD at a glance ( lelianaâs letters are descriptive ), but thereâs no need to bother the poor fellow with questions about it all. better to get out of whatever this current danger is and then bother asking about everything going on with the inquisition. âfigures,â greer glances back over a shoulder and flashes a smile to him, moving along with the offered hand and linking their arms, âno worries, herald. greer cousland - - - i donât think weâve been properly introduced. i traveled with your lady nightengale during the blight ; being followed by assassins isnât new.â greer keeps her voice low and cheerful, her head tilted so only he might hear.
âis this the sort of assassin we should lure into an alley and eliminate, or merely evade?â

@dalishflameâ said ;Â âDonât be alarmed but Iâm being followed. Act normal."
if she had a gold coin for every time greer had been told this very sentence, she would be - - - wealthier than she is now. itâs easy to fall into step beside him in the thin crowd of redcliffe and walk at the same pace, her hands loose by her sides despite their pointed proximity to the wicked looking silver daggers at her hips. BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY. âby who, and what do they want?â
@highaevrâ said ;Â âIâm going up to my room now, where I may die.â
âMAKER, youâre dramatic today.â greer canât hide the eyeroll, even if this shade of thea makes her lips twitch upwards. âit wasnât THAT bad. okay, i mean, like,â her phone is plucked out of a pocket and greer pulls up the frankly UNFLATTERING tabloid pic with far too little time - - - does she have it saved on her phone?! - - - and zooms in. âyouâre just like, mid-laugh is all. theyâve gotten worse of me.â
@spphirrgueâ said ;Â âSeems everyone in this familyâs got problems.â
greer is UNCOMFORTABLE enough just being in a ballroom ; being in THE WINTER PALACE and now being privy to all the orlesian royal familyâs dirty little secrets is even worse. not that greer had thought that family would be anything less than disastrous, but she didnât want all the sordid details. sordid details she has now. âi mean, what else could you expect?â greer shifts the sash that keeps slipping off one shoulder and shakes her head, voice quiet under the sound of the music and the quiet chatter of people playing the game on the dancefloor, âall that scheming all the time has gotta cause a lot of problems.â

â   roleplay prompts | HOWLâS MOVING CASTLE
âWell, the nice thing about being old is youâve got nothing much to lose.â
âWhat a dump. When I think of castles, itâs not what I picture.â
âYouâre scaring me. I have this weird feeling youâre going to leave.â
âWhyâd you make me come here if you were coming yourself?â
âItâs all so familiar yet I know Iâve never been here before.â
âItâs so strange. Iâve never felt so peaceful before.â
âI give up. I see not point in living if I canât be beautiful.â
âI feel terrible, like thereâs a weight on my chest.â
âIâd appreciate it if you wouldnât torment my friend.â
âSeems everyone in this familyâs got problems.â
âWhat possessed you to let them in my house.â
âDonât be alarmed but Iâm being followed. Act normal.
âAlright then, youâd better take good care of it.â
âIâm sorry did I come too late?, I didnât mean to make you wait this long.â
âDonât look at me, I donât have it, I donât know what youâre talking about.â
âWhere to? Iâll be your escort for this evening.â
âPlease, I donât care if youâre a monster.â
âI think we ought to live happily ever after.â
âI hope your bacon burns.â
âIâm going up to my room now, where I may die.â
âYouâve no right to walk into peopleâs castles and take their guitars.â
âI assure you, my friends, I am cone sold stober.â

â Lady Cousland, a pleasure it is to see you again. â CONNECTION FROM PAST. Faces near forgotten yet not entirely. Faint glimmers of golden curls, glimpses of pale blue. A bird free to fly whenever the wind guided, soaring through clouds &&. embracing the sun.
     â Itâs been a while, hasnât it ? Since we last met, that is. â  / @fawnslayââââ  ⥠ â  d  .
âyou, too.â it is still STRANGE, being back in ferelden after so much time away. stranger still to see an unexpected familiar face. there are many she had known she would see out here but those had been expected, relayed through letters or word of mouth. THIS face is a surprise. not an unwelcome one, though, by the curve of a smile on her lips. âa long while, though it seems circumstances remain much the same. â DIRE, that is. nothing like something terrible occurring to draw people back together. âi didnât know you were here.â
But as a black blade broke through the kingâs throat, spraying blood, I realized someone else had. Elain stepped out of a shadow behind him, and rammed Truth-Teller to the hilt through the back of the kingâs neck as she snarled in his ear, âDonât you touch my sister.âÂ

â   YES, YES- I KNOW, I CANâT DO ANYTHING RIGHT,   â     despite the roll of her eyes and flippant wave of her hand at greerâs grumblings, she smiles.   thereâs a little melancholy twinge in her chest, she pulls too hard and braids too tightly  in comparison to their mother.   but greer would have to settle for elethea, now that she couldnât have their mother.   she tugs loose the black silk ribbon that had been holding back her own golden curls.      â   if i donât braid it tightly itâll come loose.   i will be gentle with the comb, however.   i promise.  â
âoh, yes, that is exactly what i said,â her eyes roll in the same way and greer doesnât let herself examine the similarity beyond the fact they both do it. if she does, sheâll wonder if they picked it up from their mother or their father, or maybe fergus. it isnât something she wants to think about right now. greer tosses her tangled curls about when eletheaâs hands leave them and one of her own comes up to try and comb through some of it. âwell - - - if you PROMISE.â she finds herself leaning back a little, tipping her head to look at elethea.
