Hi there! Are you a CRK only fan and have interest in Timekeeper Cookie? Do you perhaps wish to learn about their gender and pronouns, and where they crop up? Then you should read over this post!
Iâve seen a lot of misinformation regarding Timekeeper Cookieâs pronouns and gender being thrown around by CRK only players with this recent update, so Iâm here to set the record straight! Iâm a massive fan of the TBD as a whole and love Timekeeper Cookie a lot, Iâve been into the series and playing CROB since the second TBD update: Mission! Save The Future!, and have been playing CRK since the City of Wizards update. Iâm the freak that took screenshots of every single bit of dialogue for every TBD update and saved them in albums for easy access, and I spent several hours today combing through and compiling as much as I could!
Keep in mind that I myself have a lot of the same gender identities as Timekeeper, and hatred or blatant malicious disregard for their identity and pronouns or my own on this post wonât be tolerated. Additionally, any comments regarding a romantic interpretation of Croissant and Timekeepers relationship will not be tolerated. Be civil on my post or you will be blocked.
With that out of the way, letâs begin!
If youâre unfamiliar, this is Timekeeper Cookie!
Timekeeper Cookie is a legendary cookie that was recently released in Cookie Run: Kingdom with the Timeline Of Fate update. They are the future version of Croissant Cookie, who is set to be released in Cookie Run: Kingdom in the coming days. This specific point is very important to the overall point of this post.
Now, Timekeeper Cookie is canonically nonbinary. Their affection jelly states âone is not always born with their nameâ, and Timekeeper, being a future version of Croissant, appears to have gone from being cisgender to being nonbinary! The two are one and the same, and Timekeeper would not exist without Croissant Cookie. In other words, they are the same person. With this in mind, I want to mention that the pronouns Iâm about to bring up are not inherently indicative of gender. Pronouns do not equal gender. However, given Timekeeper transitioned from being cis, and we know they are not male, we can assume they transitioned to being nonbinary.
Additionally, just because Timekeepers pronouns are not exclusively they/them does not mean they are demigender. We do not know Timekeepers specific gender identity, only that they are nonbinary. Being nonbinary means you do not feel connected to either binary gender. Pronouns have nothing to do with it. Someone can be nonbinary and still utilize gendered pronouns! Iâm a prime example of this, as I use she/they and am nonbinary!
Timekeepers pronouns are none/they/she. This is backed up by every single TBD event they have debuted in.
âHang on, what are ânoneâ pronouns?â
Good question! This is a lack of pronoun usage. This means something other than a pronoun is used to refer to the individual! In this case, Timekeeper is often referred to with their name, âDirectorâ, or something like âThat Cookieâ. Now, letâs go over the pronouns used and where they crop up!
Starting with Operation Timeguard:
The above list is not exhaustive, mind you! Timekeeper Cookie is primarily referred to with no pronouns. There is a single instance of âthey/themâ pronouns used to refer to them, spoken by GingerBrave! Timekeeper is not referred to with pronouns besides this single instance in this event, only ever called variations of titles like âDirectorâ and âThat Cookieâ beyond their name. The above image only contains 10 screenshots, but the usage of no pronouns is well beyond the list provided.
Mission! Save The Future has the first usage of âshe/herâ pronouns! The above screenshots are actually the only use of these pronouns in the entire event. Outside of the single use of âthey/themâ, and the use of âshe/herâ, Timekeeper is only referred to with no pronouns in this event. This list isnât exhaustive, Timekeeper is mentioned beyond these screenshots, but they get the point across.
Operation! Time Fixers actually doesnât have a lot of pronoun usage whatsoever for Timekeeper! Their mentions here are slim, only two screenshots I could find. A single use of âshe/herâ is here, and besides this, no pronouns are used.
Time Relic Chaos has only two mentions of Timekeeper within the main story, and the rest are in a single side story. Timekeeper is primarily referred to with no pronouns again, aside from Marble Breads usage of âthey/themâ.
Now Hiring and a single cameo from Cookie Run: Witchâs Castle utilize âthey/themâ and no pronouns! This is the most recent event for the TBD, not counting the current CRK update, which I do not have screenshots for as of right now.
And lastly, the affection quotes!
In total, âshe/herâ is used 12 times, âthey/themâ is used 11 times, and no pronouns are used an unknown amount (because itâs used so often I did not get a total) but far more than the rest.
Now that youâve seen all of this, please keep it in mind when referring to Timekeeper Cookie. They are nonbinary, even if they do not fit what many perceive to be nonbinary. They utilize no pronouns more often than not, and when they do utilize pronouns, âthey/themâ and âshe/herâ are used equally. Make use of multiple pronouns the same way you would for someone else! Thank you!

and dialogue+loading screen within the game mostly used null/none pronouns other than they once and she twice

here you made a slight mistake, marking "having" as a use of she/her, so im marking that off
and I would also say that here this counts as a use of they/them, so i marked it as well (please correct me if that's wrong!)
overall, from both games so far, these are how much these pronouns have been used on teeper
none/null: 56 (added 3 that aren't shown because iirc croi refers to them with none pronouns 3 times in kingdom but royal mike has it without dialogue boxes and I don't have ash-bound soul completed yet so I couldn't go back for that,,)
they/them: 17
she/her: 13
so far, since most people will likely not want to just say Timekeeper Cookie or That Cookie when referring to them, they/them has been used a bit more on them than she/her!
of course, calling her both is fine, but make sure to switch it around and maybe use they slightly more often!
