Hi I guess this is an intro post

Hi I'm Shadow-P I make vocaloid and UTAU covers. I decided to make a channel-specific tumblr account a few years ago so that I could keep people up to date on WIPs and other things (and also do other stuff like posting fanart) w/out having to associate my personal tumblr account with my channel. I still use it that way for the most part.

so turns out programs really don't like it when you have multiple blending mode layers

#had to turn my phone off because it was overheating so bad Ibis paint x closed the project ✌️🥲 (assets for the Eraser Girl pv)#They're almost done I just have to do Tei's hair on the full front facing w/out the app crashing then it's all just minor details from ther #also I switched the technique I was doing to color it in (shifted the opacity//spacing of the airbrush tool) so I may have to do correction #in relation to that as well but it looks alright so far #all of this is to say that my pointer finger has been Going Through It (┬┬﹏┬┬)#I feel like airbrushing looks the best w/hand drawn line art but because I draw w/my fingers it's always very tedious to color in #and by the time I'm finished with a section they usually feel sore//raw #which also happens whenever I do digital art in general but def not as quickly as w/this coloring method #it also means every layer has to be a multiply add or overlay layer (so the line art is still visible)#which puts a lot of strain on the app//my device when there's a lot of them #ramblings

#this was something I had started around the time I had published the video because some of the subtitles are #hard to read in some parts #but I had forgotten about it part way through and didn't remember until I started subtitling MIND BRAND #so now that's finished :D!

#the fact that when I used to use V5 it would crash my entire PC about every 1//3 times I tried to use it #this is likely because it was on a CPU it wasn't supposed to be on (AMD Ryzen; V5 is optimized for Intelcore)#But tbh I feel like a lot of it was on the program itself being buns #it was to the point I began to joke about the program and certain vocals (specifically Dex iirc) having a vendetta against me #Can't recall where the eating bricks part originated from #anyway the pc that had V5 on it fully died (thankfully I had been in a different country from it for several months ATP #so I hadn't been using it for vocaloid stuff for a long time and didn't lose too much)#so now I'm free lol #do kinda want to get my activation codes back though #(in case I had to prove I had legal copies of my vocaloids at one point for any reason)#(which feels somewhat absurd and probably won't happen at any point but I still get anxious about it anyway)#reblogged #ramblings
