I have been holding off writing this for the last couple of days but having just scrolled past another bastardised abomination of my work on my dash, I have to say something. Don’t worry; I’ll keep it short and not sweet.

If you repost any unsourced Artwork

If you remove the source from Artwork (truly the lowest of the low)

If you remove the artists comments/context from Artwork

If you edit and add your signature without permission to someone else’s Artwork …

… Hold on to your souls, because I’m coming for you. I’m coming for you all.

Ha, okay, so admittedly, that’s a little over the top but my god, it’s absolutely infuriating. Stop it. Just stop it. It’s lazy and it’s desperately uncool. What’s most annoying is that ultimately, I can’t actually come to a conclusion as to who it serves or why people do it. Like I said, Stop it. This is not a problem that’s exclusive to artwork on this site; any content created by someone else deserves accrediting to them. So can we just, you know, do the thing? To all those who do source, who do rebloggle rather than repost, I love you. Come; Let us ride our unicorns into the sunset together.
