So, would anyone here be interested in a snippet from my Kirby story that is sure to catch your interest? Because I have a section to share with all of you if there is interest! The section holds the premise for my AU.
Alright, I see that at least one person is interested and that is enough for me! :)
For all of your reading pleasure, here is the snippet I am willing to share!

Meta Knight chuckled softly, shaking his head as he went to the kitchen to prepare their tea. His apprentice deserved it.
It was as he was preparing it that he came to a sudden realization, the knight setting the tea to steep on the stove before making his way back to Ciela’s side. “Ciela, it never struck me until this moment...but I never did quite have the time to explain before how I ended up in this state-and why we are here as we are now.”
She was currently watching the flames within the fireplace crackle before her, the girl just letting her mind ease itself. The burning light was reflecting in her eyes as she kept her focus on it, a frown coming onto her face as she realized that he was right. She had no idea what the whole story was. But she was ready to hear it.
“If you are to be here for a while longer, I believe it is high time for me to tell another story.” Meta Knight continued before going to bring the tea out of the kitchen and to the table for them.
It was now that Ciela shook herself free of her thoughts, turning her attention to her mentor who sat across from her. She reached out and began to pour the tea for them both, preparing it the way that they liked it as Meta Knight began his tale.
“This story begins at least...5 or 6 star years ago, long before you were born. At that time, my order within the Galaxy Soldier Army had set off on a mission to stop one of Nightmare’s newest and most powerful Demon Beasts. This creature was unlike any of Nightmare’s minions that we had faced before.”
Ciela handed him his tea before taking her own and stirring it thoughtfully. “How was it different?”
“Well, most Demon Beasts live off of instinct and they fill a very specific niche within Nightmare’s army…” Meta Knight paused, glancing around at their surroundings before musing quietly. “Perhaps it would be best if I showed you instead of just told you.”
At this, the knight closed his eyes, bringing his hands together and focusing his energy into their surroundings. Slowly, the living quarters changed to a dark landscape with phantoms of Demon Beasts circling around them.
The sight of this startled Ciela terribly, the young warrior yelping and spilling her tea on her lap, which only caused her to yelp again, only this time in pain. She grimaced as she started to try and dry herself off, a soft muttering of “ouch…” escaping past her lips.
Meta Knight chuckled softly under his breath, the knight raising his hand as he spoke up soothingly in an attempt to calm her. “Worry not. They are merely phantoms, Ciela. They will not cause us harm.”
Ciela took a moment to calm her anxiety down before giving Meta Knight a dark glare. “You could have warned me that you were going to do that, Meta Knight.”
Meta Knight let out a hearty laugh at this, the dark puffal smirking under his mask. “And where would the fun in that be, hmm?”
His student only rolled her eyes. “Yeah, yeah, whatever. Just continue your story.”
The knight chuckled again as he nodded, taking a deep breath before he continued, the dreamscape’s appearance shifting and changing as he told his tale.
“This being, however, was a rather…unique case.”
The Demon Beasts surrounding them started to fade away into the darkness as he spoke.
“He was highly intelligent, unpredictable, and could alter reality and our perceptions of it as he saw fit. How a creature of his merit came to be made or was adopted into Nightmare’s fold is still unknown to me, but it was evident from our first encounter with it that we were completely unprepared.”
Ciela frowned deeply at this knowledge, her brows furrowing in concern. “What did this demon beast look like…? Did you ever learn his name?”
Meta Knight’s eyes glinted beneath his mask as a dark shadow appeared behind and above him.
“Marx. The creature’s name was Marx.”
A loud, maniacal cackle suddenly filled the air around them, sending chills down Ciela’s spine. The laughter came from the shadow that was hovering behind her mentor, the sound honestly scaring her. She didn’t know what it was about that laugh, but it disturbed her so very much.
Meta Knight thought for a moment, trying to find words to describe the monster, fully aware that a phantom of his memories was appearing as he recalled the details.
“The core of its body was diminutive and elliptical- imagine something in my shape, but lavender in color with golden, skeletal wings jutting from it’s sides where arms would normally be.”
The creature began to take shape as he spoke, the colors bleeding out from his form as the skeletal wings spread wide across the void. The wings appeared to be just as large, if not larger than Meta Knight's were.
"The wings were especially odd- in place of where there would usually be feathers or skin linking its shafts, there were instead a series of crystal-like panels of light. How it was able to fly with the things is beyond me. Even more peculiar was how this thing chose to dress- as he wore a large jester's hat that further gave him a derangedly whimsical air. He was equal portions unsettling... and hard to look at."
By the time Meta Knight had finished describing him, the form of the creature was completely done, a loud, screeching laughter ringing out around them again as the phantom Marx opened its mouth and grinned wildly.
Ciela flinched at the laughter, a soft whimper escaping her as she looked over the phantom image of the one that had captured her mentor. She honestly would have almost found him cute, if not for the manic grin that was stretched across his whole face.
After a moment, the phantom faded, their surroundings now changing from the black, empty void to a desolate field, the ground seeming to have, at one point, been home to beautiful wildflowers. However, now, it was just…dead…brown grass covered the dusty ground, the remnants of old flower stalks sulking over and wilting.
Now, five knights, one of which she knew to be her mentor, came flying into the field on their warp stars, all of them hopping off and meeting the purple jester that Ciela could now see was lying about on the field.
Meta Knight watched on before letting out a quiet sigh, speaking up once more as he began to narrate the events that were going to unfold before her.
"When we finally arrived at the field where our battle would take place, he felt it would be rather amusing to welcome us by splitting himself in half in order to generate a black hole in the middle of the field. Dragato was almost pulled into the vortex and tried to steady himself by holding on to my cape..."
As he said this, Marx did exactly as he described, the creature lifting himself into the air by his wings before screeching loudly and forcing his body to split apart. Within the two halves, a black vortex began to form, the power of it beginning to suck everything towards it, the five knights included.
The five of them forced themselves to stand their ground, with a golden armored one and Meta Knight stabbing their swords into the ground to act as an anchor against the pulling winds.
A purple knight with a brown ponytail yelped as he started to get pulled in, his only saving grace being his grip on Meta Knight’s cape that kept him from being swept away.
“Thankfully, before he lost his grip, the attack finally faded and the real fight began.”
What followed next was a horrifying display. The knights were able to hold their ground against it, for a time. But, between Marx bulging his eyes out of his sockets to cause incendiaries to rain down upon the knights and pushing his veins outside of his body and stabbing them towards them as spears, it was clear that this creature outmatched them all. Soon enough, they were battered and at the end of their strength.
“Sir Arthur was the first one to go…”
Marx had pulled himself up into the air above them all, starting to charge a beam of light which he quickly unleashed. The golden armored one, Sir Arthur, stood in front of his men and lifted his sword in an attempt to deflect the beam. But the effort was in vain, the light completely engulfing him.
The other four had scattered upon the beam’s impact and, to their horror, watched as the visage of their leader was now engraved into one of the panels of light in Marx’s wings, a white outline on a golden crystal.
“Sir Falspar immediately became enraged and foolishly acted upon his impulses, charging at the beast, but he, too, was taken from us.”
The forest green knight with a red mohawk charged forwards, lifting his broadsword in an attempt to slice the creature in two, only for Marx to dodge to the side. Falspar stumbled forward as he missed and then he was lost in a beam of light too.
“Sir Nonsurat had been tending to Sir Dragato when they were taken, Dragato having had his foot pierced by one of the spear-like veins earlier in the fight.”
Sir Nonsurat had been hiding behind a rock, tending to Dragato’s foot as Meta Knight stood protectively before them, hoping to keep them safe in the process. But it was in vain as another light beam pierced through the rock they were behind, engulfing the two knights behind him.
“Until, finally, I was the only one left.”
“What did you do…?”
“The only thing I could do. I fought until the very end.”
Meta Knight took to the air, slashing at the lavender puffball with Galaxia, putting all of his strength behind his attacks. As he did this, Marx unleashed the spears against his opponent, one of the spears piercing into Meta Knight’s left wing and pinning him to the ground.
Ciela let out a gasp as she watched on in horror.
Meta Knight, weakly, yet defiantly, gazed up at the monster that had him at it’s mercy, struggling to get to his feet. One last flash of light and...it was over.
Everything around the two now faded to black, Ciela’s heart racing as she started to feel sick from the horror she just witnessed.
“It...it was a straight up massacre…”
Meta Knight nodded gravely, his eyes now lifting up to meet his apprentice’s.
“It was, yes. It was an experience I hope to never relive after this moment. As it were, as soon as I came to, I realized that, though I still appeared to be aware, I was no longer tangible. It was in that darkness that I rested, angered and confused, until I eventually found that I was not alone. There was a part of me that was living- seeing a new life play out through the eyes of another. This life, Ciela, was yours...."
As he spoke his last words, dozens upon dozens of memories surrounded them, all of these scenes being from Ciela’s childhood up until this very moment.
Ciela let out a choked gasp as she took in the various memories playing around them, her eyes darting from one to the next as she felt her throat clench up.
One of the memories was of a young Ciela with a man with blue hair, much like her own, carrying her around on his shoulders, the two of them laughing.
Another, a picnic in the park, a slightly older Ciela flying a kite as two adults, one of which was the man from before, watched on with warm looks in their eyes.
And another of Ciela meeting a girl her age with blond hair that was bubbly and happy go lucky.
After these scenes however, they started to become more grim.
An image of her tearfully racing down the stairs after the blue-haired man as he walked out the door, suitcase in hand, never to return.
Her mother ignoring her and drinking away her grief and anger before taking it out on her.
The utter loneliness of laying in her bed, sobbing quietly into the night...
Tagging a building with holographic paint with the blond-haired girl from earlier before being brought home in a cop car...
Ciela screaming out her parents names as she slept at night…
Her mother bringing man after man home, making Ciela sneak out to Alice because she never felt safe…
Alice holding her tightly as she cried into her chest...
Alice dying in her arms....
Alice…
Ciela couldn’t help the harsh sob that escaped past her lips, heavy tears falling down her cheeks. It was in this moment, as she watched her life play out, that she realized just how unwanted, how utterly alone she was in the universe now.
She lifted her hands to her face, sobbing loudly into her palms as she exclaimed out through her tears.
"STOP! JUST STOP IT!!"
The dreamscape, as if responding to the young woman, immediately forced itself back into the living room it was before, the screens of memories disappearing.
Meta Knight startled when this took place, the knight leaping to his feet and rushing to her side. The movement clattered the table, causing the tea pot to fall to the floor, shattering with ceramic and tea staining the carpet. He hesitated before reaching out to her, his voice gentle.
"Ciela, are you alright?"
She shook her head, her hands clutching her hair tightly as she sobbed out her words.
“I’m sorry…! I’m sorry about everything and I’m sorry that, out of everyone you could have possibly gotten, you ended up with me!”
Meta Knight furrowed his eye ridges, shaking his head as he came right beside her. “Child, no,” he spoke gently as he placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "I have no doubt that my spirit finding yours was nothing short of design. To have become the vessel of a Star Warrior is something that would have not occurred had you not been strong of spirit and pure of heart. You are just beginning your journey, but I believe nascent power rests within you. It need only be drawn out and given what it needs to flourish.” He lifted his other hand to her cheek, gently lifting her face so she would look at him as he continued. “In time you will become a great warrior of the stars in your own right, and carve a legend that is your own."

So, what do you all think? I have had this AU in the works for several years now and would love to talk about it more!
As you could probably gather, each knight has their own protégé that their souls have taken residence in, with the transition of each of them becoming Star Warriors varying between each.
With Ciela, she was the last of the five to have her mentor awaken within her and has gained his powers upon said knight awakening.
Each of them are below the age of twenty, with the two oldest being 19, the second oldest being 18, Ciela 17, and the youngest 15, but turning 16 over the course of season 1.
I have a few seasons planned for this story, with season 1 taking place long before the anime with the 5 teens' goal to be to rescue their mentors from Marx's imprisonment.
A midquel taking place where the 5 are sealed into a hypersleep once the war becomes too dangerous for them to keep fighting. This midquel will only be a few chapters long.
Season 2 takes place after the anime, with Kirby and a few more familiar faces joining the party on a newly rebuilt Halberd (including a certain penguin king who is in need of some serious character redemption).
A prequel which will be a series of connected oneshots taking place in the knights' early days and following not only the development of the GSA, but also providing some much needed character meetings.
In this AU, Meta Knight is a Demon Beast created by Nightmare, but, once he fails in fighting the main four, he is taken in and eventually joins their inner circle and becomes one of the main leaders of the GSA along with them.
Each knight has a key role in the leadership of the GSA.
Arthur acts as the lead commander of the army, with his older brother, one of my ocs by the name of Eritas, acting as second in command.
Falspar acts as the head trainer of the new recruits, teaching them all how to fight as well as what their code of honor is.
Dragato acts as the head of the R&D department of the GSA, the puffal being a genius in engineering and many of the equipment the GSA uses being of his own design.
Nonsurat acts as the lead medic, his knowledge on medicine and treatments being the highest standard this side of the galaxy.
And Meta Knight acts as the leader of the GSA Splinter Cell, him and his teams being the ones usually sent to take down important and dangerous targets.
As for each child, here is a brief description of each one.
For Sir Arthur's protégé, we have Arlene. Born into a world at war, she had to take over her father's place as commander of the rebellion army after he was killed in battle. Despite her young age, Arthur has taught her well in the art of warfare, however, her social skills are rather lacking by comparison, as well as knowledge of things outside of war. Her battle armor theme is of a Valkyrie, a spear being her weapon and gold and white being her colors.
For Falspar's protégé, we have Casper. Born on a junkyard planet that was considered the Galaxy's slums, he's the only boy in his family of nine, having eight younger siblings and a wonderful caring mother. When out strolling with one of his sister's one day, they were attacked. His sister was shot in front of him and there was nothing he could do to save her. That was the moment Falspar woke up, which allowed him to avenge his sister. Afterwards, he took up fighting in the local gladiator pit, aptly named 'The Arena' and takes to defending the planet from threats when not doing fights. His battle armor theme is a sort of Barbarian, with a buster sword being his weapon of choice, one that he can wield single handedly due to the super strength he gained from Falspar. His color is a bright bold red, to match his mohawk!
For Dragato's protégé, we have Draven. The youngest of the group and the star pupil of the Neo-Terran Engineers Guild, he's a budding engineer who comes from a single parent family, his father being the one who raised him. Escaping from under his father's strict teachings, he deep faked his father's signature on a permission sleep for an expedition to Halcandra and never looked back. A boy deeply fascinated by the Ancients and their work, he strives to someday be able to engineer as well as them! This kid is also an insomniac who is addicted to coffee. Please help him. His battle armor theme is...unfortunately still a work in progress, but his weapons of choice are his trusty welding torch and the explosives that he and Dragato make together within the dreamscape. His main color is a deep purple color.
For Nonsurat's protégé, we have Norrin. Born into a high class family of surgeons, Norrin has always been rather frail in terms of constitution. When Nonsurat awoke within him, the poor kid believed himself to be schizophrenic until he was finally given proof to the contrary. A young man who, at first, held a trust in people, was proven that people are not only cruel, but are rarely ever to be trusted when a person who he once saw as a friend robbed the clinic that his family ran, injuring him in the process. He now wears his emotions close to his chest and is more clinical in his commentary. He hides himself away from most of his emotions through the use of the concentrated mist that runs over his home of Eternal Springs, inhaling it through a canister of his and Nonsurat's design. This mist keeps him high a vast majority of the time and, when he isn't high, he is eternally tired. His battle armor theme is a medic, with his main attire being a labcoat that holds all that he needs. His weapon of choice is one of his own deisgn with the help of creating it from Draven, a sword/needle hybrid called the Immunizer. His main color is a minty green.
And, finally, Meta Knight’s protégé is Ciela. You can probably glean from the sample I posted that Ciela’s life has been a rather...tumultuous one up until now. Before Meta Knight awoke within her, she was stuck living with a mom who, after having her husbad walk out on her, fell from grace and never got up again. She was neglected by her mother, but took solace in her best friend since childhood, Alice. However, on the night of Meta Knight awakening within her, Alice was infected with dark matter, turning her into a cat/human hybrid demon beast. With Alice stuck in a state of mental psychosis from the dark matter infecting her body, she couldn't differentiate between friend or foe and ended up attacking Ciela in the haze, forcing Ciela to have to defend herself. In doing this, she accidently ended up piercing her best friend through the stomach and proceeded to have her die in her arms. Ciela, being the final one to awaken, was forced to flee from Earth with a stolen starship, thus starting this adventure off and aiming to gather her four comrades in arms on the way. Ciela's battle armor theme is more magical girl than anything else and her main weapon is a sword (but not Galaxia. Hm...I wonder why...). Her main color is a deep blue and she is most associated with the stars.
So, there you have it. Five kids set with a task that should be far too great for five humans to deal with on their one. BUT! They won't be alone!
This story is not only going to heavily be using lore from the anime, but it will also be meshing in lore and characters from the games as well!
Just to name a few, we, of course, have Marx. But, we will also have our favorite interdimensional traveler, Magolor as well! We may even see a peek of Taranza and Sectonia in there too! And maybe even...The Haltmann Works Company?!
And, of course, we can't forget some of our favorite anime characters as well! Sword and Blade will definitely be arriving, that is a given! However, perhaps we'll even see a certain princess in disguise as well? Or perhaps even a rogue ninja somewhere.
You guys will just have to wait and see once we finally begin our journey!
Welcome to
Order Of The Star!
If any of you have any questions or wish to know more, please send me asks and I would love to discuss more with you all!! I have so much to share, so much so that I hardly covered a fraction of what I have planned!
But, with that said, thanks for reading!
