Damn it đĽşđ
What's worse is that we could totally expect it to be the other way around.
Castiel is millions of years old. He was here long before Dean was born and will be (or should have been, if you ignore 15x20) here long after he died. In the grand scheme of things, Dean should have been just a blip in Castiel's existence.
That's why other angels don't understand the attachment, and that's why saying that Dean was Cas' everything is so telling
If you want to survive, be polite to the monsters.

Every time I listen to Jon saying that (Not!)Sasha volonteered to go investigate The Trophy Room in MAG54 I imagine her having a tea party with Nikola Orsinov
Re-listening to TMA having in mind that Lynne Hammond, the woman who "saw a ghost", is Celia is the funniest thing.
I guess living through the apocalypse really do change people.
If I had a nickel for every time I was in the fandom of a media where we have :
The main character being inspired by the author in a certain wayÂ
One gay couple with one of them who only knows how to speak to people by being rude and the other one being overly kind, a bit manipulative when they want to be and with a tendency to isolate themself when feeling down instead of asking for help
The big boss of the main characters not often seen but every time they appear we realize more and more how manipulative and all knowing they are
The main location being destroyed by a fire and then "rebuild" in some way
Two people we're not sure they are in a relationship but it's kind of obvious they are (we can see them as a couple or very good friends) and one of them is or was a horrible person in some way but is slowly changing thanks to the other one who is the only person who sees the good in them
One of the main characters not being as good as they think they are and it being pointed out by someone they consider an enemy and by someone who is a close friend
A character the fans unanimously decided to hate
At least one character that has at some point been in the body of someone else
At least two characters played by the same actor
I'd have three nickels
Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened three times. Right?

This is only my opinion! This was in my head for almost a week so I decided I had to share it.
I don't think the apology dance is good communication and here is why :Â
It is never said why Crowley has to apologise or what for. In this video (go watch it, itâs a really interesting analysis of the scene and the person doing it has a totally different opinion than mine) itâs stated that Crowley is apologising for saying âYouâre on your ownâ. I really like that idea, I won't linger on it, watch the video if you want more details. But even if we know, they (Aziraphale and Crowley) never say it. Maybe it was obvious? I donât think so. And even if it was, good communication is about saying things that are obvious to be sure everyone is on the same page (we saw how not saying things worked in the last 15).
The apology is not genuine.Â
- Crowley only wants Aziraphale to let him be there to protect him, but he doesnât truly believe Aziraphaleâs solution of keeping Gabriel/Jim is better than his. He doesnât believe Aziraphale is right. But he knows that if he doesn't at least say something Aziraphale will make it very hard for him to do anything.
- When Crowley comes back he asks if he should apologise (not âhowâ, âifâ, âCan we take that as said?â). He doesnât want to do it and you can see it. And itâs not because itâs hard for him to say. For Crowley, hard is saying what he wants (I can do a whole other post about that).
Crowley says no with his head. With beings like those two silly who donât have a clue about proper communication you have to pay attention to non-verbal communication, and this is not even subtle (sorry I donât know how to make a gif, itâs 0:37 on this). Itâs a perfect example of saying one thing (âYou were rightâ) but thinking the opposite.
Aziraphaleâs arguments for Crowley to do the dance is not âWhat you said really hurt me, I think I deserve for you to do itâ, itâs âI did it before, so I want you to do it tooâ. It's funny and gives us context for the dance, but it is not good communication.
Crowley doesnât really apologise. He never says âIâm sorryâ and isnât that the whole point of apologising? Saying âIâm sorry, I know I hurt you, but I love you and I feel horrible about how you might have felt because of meâ. Itâs not supposed to matter who is right. What matters is what the other is feeling.
The dance is scripted. Itâs not something Crowley made on the spot or put thoughts into, itâs something they agreed to do when one of them fucked up. It probably has lost its meaning over time.
Itâs not something they really want to do. Itâs even something they donât want to do, and itâs made that way. They created the dance, they chose the choreography and the âlyricsâ, so they chose to make it humiliating. How is it humiliating? Well first, bowing isnât really flattering. And before Crowley began, Aziraphale stood up, placing himself in a power position. I can talk a bit more about the âlyricsâ. âYou were rightâ three times, âI was wrongâ only once. Itâs known that âI was wrongâ is something very hard to say. But saying âYou were rightâ is way more satisfying for the person on the receiving end of the apology (here itâs Aziraphale). Itâs easy to say. How many arguments ended on âYeah, yeah, youâre rightâ even if the person doesnât mean it? This dance isnât about the person apologising, itâs about the person receiving the apology. Everything's centred around them.
They immediately move on. They donât talk about it afterward. Crowley asks âOkay?â and Aziraphale answers âvery niceâ and then itâs over. Thatâs not how apologies work. You donât just say âsorryâ and then everyone forget about it. No, you talk about what was done, what exactly was hurtful, what everyone can do to not let it happen again. But here they donât do that. Aziraphale assumes that from now, Crowley is ok to keep Gabriel/Jim, but we see multiple times throughout the season how he is not (âIf any harm comes to Aziraphale because of this, I willâŚâ ep3, âI spent last night worrying if heâs going to wake upâ ep5).Â
But despite all that, I donât deny the fact that Crowley doing a silly little dance to apologise is very fun to watch.
It's my first ever post here, please be kind. English is not my first language, sorry if there are any mistakes.
