This is going to be my Ace Attorney account! It will feature much art and many headcanons, with a specific focus on musical headcanons and applying songs to characters and situations because I am very normal and think about this almost every waking minute of every day!

This is long asf lmao, so not forced to read, but if you miss vital information that’s on you. Most importantly I’d say is that this blog will discuss adult and NSFW themes. Needless to say, this blog is 16+. Preferably 18+, but I’m not your mom. I’m only 19, and I know being 17 and restricted from mature realistic topics sucks. Just be responsible and stay safe, ok? This blog might discuss some heavy shit, like abuse, grief, and sex and drugs as unhealthy coping mechanisms. All in a fictional setting, but still. These are real songs about real issues, projected onto fictional characters.

Also, this blog will contain spoilers!!!

Bc I would be honored and so excited, I don’t have the resources or specific skills to execute most of my ideas so I would be delighted!! I have a very diverse and oftentimes niche music taste, however it tends to come in phases. I’ve been into progressively more and more hardcore music for the last 6ish months (Mind’s Eye, Muse, Chevelle, DGD). Before that I was into more Midwest emo rock (McCafferty, Front Bottoms, TWIABP) for a few months, before that was indie folk rock (Crane Wives, Oh Hellos, Fleet Foxes) for a while. Sandwiched somewhere in there was another Kendrick hyperfix, a Baby Gravy hyperfix, and a period of 2-3 weeks where I listened exclusively to different iterations of Turnabout Orchestra. My point is, you may see a lot of songs that come from the same or similar artists for a few months straight lol, and I’m not sorry.

As stated, my music taste is diverse, and I likely will not be tagging the genres of all the songs I post. If I link a song, it could be a lullaby or it could be Jon Mess yelling “MULTIPLE STAB WOUNDS, YEAH!!” It’s like roulette LMAO, have fun with that. Nor will I likely end up giving specific TWs or CWs for each individual song, unless it’s something simple, pervasive, and/or extreme enough to warrant it. An example would be the over a minute straight of hysterical laughter/screaming in “Just Wait” by The Oozes (simple and extreme), the graphically pornographic audio at the start of “Brown Shuga” by Sir Mix-a-Lot (extreme), or the descriptions of fictional animal cruelty listed for multiple verses of “Petting Zoo Justice” by Dance Gavin Dance (pervasive). This blog will contain adult and NSFW themes!!!

I’m going to attempt to do a “Sey’s Song of the Day”. Key word being attempt. I’m really really busy and trying to simultaneously minimize my social media and keep up a steady online presence for longer than a month or two. Star Wars Instagram, MHA TikTok and Octonauts Tumblr can all attest to the fact that I am horrendous at this. But I’m going to try.

On that note, if I don’t respond to an Ask, Comment, DM, whatever, please don’t take it personally. I encourage those things, I would love to hear from you and I love answering questions!! But as previously discussed, I am a zombie living off of caffeine and ADHD meds drowning in schoolwork who is notoriously awful at maintaining friendships. So please don’t hesitate to interact in any way!! Just don’t expect a response. Again, I’m going to try, but my life and work and relationships and stress outside of tumblr will always be my priority.

By posting a specific band or artist, I am in no way agreeing or identifying with them and their words, actions, beliefs, etc. Spotify doesn’t pay their artists shit, which definitely isn’t okay, but that also means I don’t feel bad about streaming problematic artists. Dance Gavin Dance for example is one of my favorite bands of all time. This does not mean I support Tillian Pierson. I may even compliment their art or talents. Again, this does not indicate my support or endorsement.

I am a member of a DID system. I may reference some of my headmates. If someone besides me is speaking and we’re aware of it, we may indicate this by saying “My (Drew) favorite rough vocalist is Jon Mess”, or alternatively, “My favorite rough vocalist is Jon Mess (-Drew)”.

We are a fictive heavy system, which includes quite a few introjects from Ace Attorney who identify heavily with their sources. If I am referring to Miles Edgeworth the headmate for example, it will look like this: “Miles (hnc) likes Chappell Roan.” Yes, some of them are affected by exotrauma, however there is no need to shy away from discussion of any topic from their source media. No, we don’t care about your opinion on whether or not we exist, or if our fictives are real, or if we’re faking. I assure you, it’s nothing we haven’t been told before. That said, if you are going to bring pretty much discourse of any kind, especially syscourse, you will be blocked. We do not have the time energy to care. Which leads us to:

DNI Criteria and Rules

Basic DNI, which includes but is not limited to: pedos/maps, radqueers, pro ed/ana/sh, rapists, racists, homophobes, transmeds, TERFs, islamaphobes, fatphobic or other flavors of body shamers, etc. Idk I’m kinda blanking rn ngl djfndj

I am anti-endo. However, more than that, I’m tired of syscourse. Hot take, endogenic systems are not real, but that doesn’t necessarily mean endos aren’t real systems. Plurality develops to hide trauma. I can guarantee you there are real DID systems out there who think they are endogenic but in reality just aren’t ready to remember, accept, or confront their trauma, and it is not my place to try and force that. I’m not inside their heads, I’m not a professional, and I’m not a hater. I don’t care about your syscourse, and it has no place on my silly Ace Attorney blog. Also, plural joy is valid and beautiful and will be celebrated if the topic is for some reason brought up.

On a similar note, I don’t give two shits about your shipping discourse and it will not be tolerated on my blog. Pro, Anti, or Neu, I don’t care. I do not have the time or energy or mental wellbeing to care. Kinkshaming will not be tolerated. That being said, while this blog will contain mature themes, problematic ships will not be discussed here. I understand projecting yourself onto a character to heal from your own childhood trauma. However, this blog is not the place to explore that. I do not plan on diving into anything too graphically sexual on this blog. If that changes, the post(s) will be appropriately tagged. If I ever end up discussing problematic ships on here, it will be depicted as one-sided/unreciprocated, and any sexual detail will not be discussed. An example of how far I would go would be comparing Ema Skye's obsession with Miles Edgeworth in Rise From The Ashes to parts of "I Threw Glass at my Friend's Eyes and Now I'm on Probation" by Destroy Boys, but that is pretty much the extent of this topic here.
