Threatening to commit suicide if you leave.

Here are some general warning signs to look out for, these can help you know if someone close to you is in an emotionally abusive relationship

They seem afraid or anxious

They go along with everything their abuser says or does

Their abuser checks in often with them so they can tell them what they’re doing

Receive frequent, harassing phone calls

Being restricted from seeing family or friends

Rarely going out in public without their abuser

Has limited access to money, credit cards, or a car

Has very low self esteem, even if they used to be confident

Show major personality changes, such as an outgoing person becoming shy and reserved

Being depressed, anxious, or suicidal
