What I found interesting about the way Tom made his school friends is the fact it’s oddly selfish in a way.

I mean, it literally says “Tom believed he was a sensitive kid who would value his friendship to the point where he could get the boy to do anything he wanted.”

like who in the world makes friends like that???

Yeah Tom has some serious issues. He’s accidentally but also intentionally manipulative. Like wth is your problem?? No wonder the kids hated him
