Children and teens are full human beings and by becoming parents an immense responsibility is applied to treat them as such. They need open and clear communication, not to be talked down too, and to have their questions answered. They have the right to autonomy and life.

So, in conlusion, I think that not only parents should read it, but kids themselves should also be given those kid-friendly versions of the Convention so that they can, too, know about their rights.

If you are emotionally immature and dysregulated, you functionally cannot expect your kids to be able to develop healthy emotional regulation skills.
