first of all the plasticity occtis mentions!! the way he sticks with julien because of emotion!! that was very much based on how babies first learn to express emotion, which is by mimicking the people around them! since his brain is recently deactivated the most basic form of emotional mimicking would be a terrifying way for him to show emotion (please consider occtis taking one look at his party and melding their expressions into the most uncanny occtis-ism anyone would ever see)

but also just the way he pulls the most base emotions from the living members of his party! not so much a mimic thing, but more like he's looking at actions and triggering the memory of how certain things felt in life as a way to "feel" them now

the very passing mention of his eyes working despite being dead! well let me tell you about corneal opacity, which is one of the ways for time of death to be identified. basically your cornea can and will lose its transparent quality after you die due to not being properly hydrated, which is something i am not putting occtis through. yet. don't ask me why his eyes are hydrated without tears. i'm just some guy (he probably invented eye drops and refuses to share the recipe)

weird sensation stuff be upon him!!!! okay listen i obviously wanted this to feel like something for occtis right. but i thought "well if he has all the senses of a living human there'll be no reason for julien to get stabby!!!" so this was born. his not having physical sensation on the surface of his skin because it's the furthest from the core of him was a funny silly idea, and now that i'm writing this i realised that would mean he has no feeling on his feet because it's FAR far from his brain. please don't trip occtis

anyway i wanted to give him some sensation which is why i made him able to feel his own guts (also partially from canon because he can feel the food in his stomach when he tries to eat it. that's deep enough for me)

also the way he feels normal human temperature as heat: courtesy of being undead. cause while corpses are usually room temperature i feel like something revived would be a little colder yknow. a bit more unnatural. so he gets the fridge treatment
