Al-Hasan al-Basri [may Allāh have mercy on him] said:

“There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow men. True nobility lies in being superior to your former self.”

‎Imam Malik رحمه الله said:

“Just one look at you and I know it’s gonna be a lovely day.”

أراك بقلبي لا بعيني

“She believed a great happiness awaited her somewhere, and for this reason she remained calm as the days flew by.”

“But the beautiful night, the garden, every bush, every leaf, even the white palings, even the stars, were conspirators too. So bright was the moon that the flowers were bright as by day; the shadow of the nasturtiums, exquisite lilylike leaves and wide-open flowers, lay across the silvery verandah.”
