Decided to restart today with a gravship game. 10 minutes in and it's just. Not working?? I have 30fps average???

Something is interfering with odyssey and I have zero candidates to what that is and over 100 mods to sort through

Thought I fixed it, didn't fix it. I thought it might be a world-generation mod but it wasn't. Removing a couple more mods that I don't use all too often but have caused me problems in the past in the hopes I can figure out what the fuck is happening.

One thing that's so underrated about PHM is Eva Stratt's appearance. She doesn't have the lipstick, sleek bun, pencil skirt (or even pantsuit), and heels look that is so often the uniform of female characters in similar roles. She doesn't wear makeup (as much as any other actor). She wears her hair down or in the simplest ten-second buns. She wears softs, easy to move in clothes that are weather appropriate. Why would she spend extra time making her physical body less efficient?

#she looks like just an average person #which I think is awesome

This phrase has already entered my vocabulary re: media criticism where like. The viewer has a concrete view of what they expect a story to be based on the tropes and cliches they're used to seeing together, and when that doesn't happen, they judge it as a failed depiction of what they assumed it was going to be instead of judging it as what it actually is.

"This show is problematic because the hero didn't kill the villain at the end": When does he steal the bread?

"These two characters who were close friends throughout the series don't kiss at the end! What the fuck?": When does he steal the bread?

"This feels like it's missing a conclusion! Like, the protagonist does bad stuff and because of a critical decision he makes as a result of his major character flaws, meets tragedy in the end! Where's the part where he learns better and brings is love back from the dead and becomes a good guy and gets a happy ending?": When does he steal the fucking bread??

We need more people in horror films that are inexplicably afraid of the setting. I don't mean an "i have a bad feeling about this..." I mean characters in the middle of the ocean with thalassaphobia, characters shoved into the cold emptiness of space who hate space. Characters who have an intense fear of the dark, who can't stand forests, who, in response to something completely and totally normal, just freak the fuck out

#the real horror is having to overcome your deepest fears #to escape your deepest fear #too many characters have some kind of prophetic precognitive feeling that makes them creeped out #but I feel like a character who believes what they're feeling is completely irrational #and IS completely irrational at the time #would make a much better horror story tbh #horror #movies #films
