I think by now Hudson and Connor have repeated enough times that they do not want pictures to be taken that we are all aware, yet the stalking continues.
I don't think any of it is ok. The public street pictures help identify their neighbourhood - where they are staying, which gym they go to and lead to increasingly intrusive, dangerous and disturbing stalking like Connor being touched without consent and followed to his private residence or Hudson being photographed inside the private gym clearly without his knowledge or consent.
If you call yourself a fan of either or both of them, please don't spread these non-consensual photos and videos and call out the stalkers instead of encouraging their behaviour.
They will be working in Toronto for months, and the situation is already spiralling badly with stalkers reportedly flying in to harass them. They will be forced into lockdown, it will impact their mental health being hunted for pics, and it will burden the production to have to increase security.
There are no upsides. We should not engage with this kind of content, and wait until they share what they are comfortable sharing.
The most viral Shane ever goes is after he's with the Cens and Harris ropes him into making a Brennan Lee Mulligan style "Why I'm leaving hockey to pursue my true passion: making custom tea cosies themed after the Canadian provinces". As an F1 and massive Vettle fan, I looooove the idea of Shane's hockey IQ being a gift for social media. He's getting challenged to name every mvp, scoring streaks, best goalie stats, everything! He can not be beat! Ilya is on the sidelines like "that's my genius husband".

Have we considered Luca not having his driver's license? As a European from a country with shittier public transport than Switzerland, I was the only one in my cohort to get mine at 18. So, Ilya teaching Luca how to drive and Shane trying desperately to not let that happen?
The only Rose/Svetlana get together scenario I will accept is them taking Shane and Ilya to an awards show as their dates, and they do the Ryan Reynolds/Andrew Garfield kiss as a joke when Rose doesn't win, except wow, maybe let's do that again.
I know there are a few "Ilya is a ghost" fics, one where he haunts Shane's mansion etc. But I need a Ghosts AU, where Ilya, Marly and a bunch of the bears haunts Shane's new b&b, and then Shane hits his head and is the only one who can see them. He runs the b&b with his best friend Hayden, who slowly realises the ghosts are real and that they are really fucking annoying. Also, Ilya’s ghost power is to make Shane orgasm when he walks through him. Marly's is to make you forget what you came into the room to get.
A "When Calls the Heart" au with Shane as the rule abiding Canadian mountie and Ilya as the feisty schoolmaster from a wealthy family, who moves north to the Canadian to try and prove he can make it on his own. Shane is easily annoyed yet charmed.

This backfires spectacularly as Shane only gets more competitive. Nothing Ilya does gets to him on the ice!
Then, ops, Ilya might be in love and at the ten-year mark he does not want to collect. Technically, Shane did it all on his own anyway, so Ilya can break the contract, but his boss won't like that. Luckily, his demonic friend Svetlana helps him so he can become human and confess his love to Shane.
He just hopes Shane likes him back enough that he accepts Ilya without his powers. Shane knows Ilya never helped him, right?

They live happily ever after.

I know the easy F1 au of heated rivalry is to do a Hunt vs Lauda, which honestly is almost too easy. Two great drivers, one analytical, the other a party guy. But hear me out, maybe having both of them as drivers is a little boring.
