[have another smol lmao] "Hey Hiro?" Tadashi stared at his homework silently for a moment, before he looked up at his brother, old hurt flashing in his eyes. "What did argue with mom and dad about the day you left home? They wouldn't tell me. They just said I'd probably never see you again. You never said goodbye, either."
Hiro was sitting nearby on his computer, but paused what he was doing when Tadashi spoke up. He froze at the question before slowing trying to continue typing, much slower as it suddenly took a lot more focus to pay attention to what exactly he was trying to type.
“…It was a long time ago…Just leave it in the past.” He simply answered quietly, trying to ignore the subject. It was never one of his favourite memories of his parents, but since their deaths… taking in Tadashi…he’d grown up since that day he left home but had still been too stubborn to return. He had said some things he was sure there was no way to fix. Now they were gone and he was left with his regret and his little brother, who was a constant reminder what a screw up he actually was…
“Great.” Hiro nodded, grinning and moved to push Tadashi’s hat a little over his face to tease and stuffed her hands into his pockets. Okay.. NOW he was done.
“Ah, well the nearest Pizza Hut is kinda far for walking, but there’s a pretty good little pizza place near by that I usually go to.” He explained with small smile. “It’s on a street just full of a bunch of food places. There’s a small cafe and a sub place too we can kept out another time.”
Tadashi groaned as Hiro pulled his hat down, and pushed it back up with a small huff, shooting Hiro a small glare, though a smile threatened to pull at his lips.
“That works for me! I don’t mind trying out little pizza places, they’re sometimes even better than the big chains.” He admitted with a shrug, and hopped down the stairs of the apartment complex. “That all sounds cool, I like subs.”
STARTER FOR @selflessbrother
❛ No, seriously —— it was just a small allergic reaction. I feel fine now. More then fine, I feel great. ❜
“Really? You’re sure...? Alright, I believe you, but uh, if you start feeling it again, just let me know, okay?”
“The first aid kit is still in the garage right?” Cass asked leaning on the service counter. She would pop in on Hiro later to make sure he was alright. “I just hope you’re home for dinner. I haven’t decided what to make yet. I know desert is going to be ice cream though.” She told him shifting. “What do you think we should do for dinner?”
“Yeah, everything he needs to take care of himself is down there, but he should be fine. He hasn’t had an accident there in years, so I think he’ll be okay.” Tadashi tried to reassure her, though he knew she’d check up on Hiro regardless. At her question of what to make, he rubbed his chin slightly. “Chicken wings?” He offered -- though really, that was always his go-to suggestion. Cass made amazing chicken wings! Who could blame him?
"Make sure you bring a jacket"
Cold Starters
“No need to remind me.” Hiro groaned, rolling his eyes. “I’m not a little kid anymore, you know. I can take care of myself.”
He’s trying so hard to hide the fact he indeed almost forgot his jacket.
“Right, right, so you totally bypassed the coat rack on purpose.”
Tadashi noted, raising his eyebrows slightly. He wasn’t trying to be a mother hen, really, but there was no doubt in his mind that Hiro had let the issue slip his mind before he’d reminded him.
“Obviously.” Hiro said in this over-exaggerated tone, trying to pretend he was offended, even though he atually felt kinda dumb at the moment.
Hiro glared at Tadashi for a moment before grabbing his coat off the hanger. “Let’s just get going already….”
“Sure, Hiro.” Tadashi knew his brother’s pride wouldn’t allow him to admit that he was wrong, so, for the time being, he decided to just let it go, or he’d risk Hiro pouting about it all afternoon.
“Come on, let’s go.” He lightly knocked Hiro on the back of the head with a small smile. “Try not to purposefully forget anything else, okay?”

“I honestly can’t believe her… I mean, you and me? I don’t know what she was thinking,” Elsa admitted with her own quiet laugh. She wasn’t about to lie, the thought had crossed her mind once or twice, but never more than that. She was on the verge of a breakthrough with her big year-end genetics project, and she wasn’t about to let some silly fantasy get in the way of that.
“But you are right. We should at least enjoy tonight. Besides, Honey did say she was paying, and pay she shall. What do you say? Order the most expensive things we can and put it on her tab?” She asked with another laugh before flagging down a waiter and ordering a glass of iced tea for herself. She’d love some hard liquor as much as the next person right now, but age restrictions were unfortunately a thing.
“I wouldn’t even be here tonight if my aunt and uncle hadn’t been so generous. They’re offering to take Anna for tonight until I get home. She and my cousin are close anyway, so I wouldn’t be surprised if I have the house to myself tonight.”
It was a little daunting —- Elsa’s family had one of the biggest and nicest houses in San Fransokyo, and to have a house that large all to herself… it was scary. She was so used to having either of her parents home all the time, but now it would just be her. Still, she shook the thoughts out of her head and did her best to regain her composure, if she had lost any to begin with.
“What about you and your family? Is the café busy at all tonight or is your aunt curled up on the couch with a bunch of rom-coms for the night?”
“Ouch.” Tadashi joked lightly, pressing a hand agaisnt his chest as though wounded. “I don’t think I’m THAT bad, but... No, no, I know. I’m sure Honey has her reasons and it makes sense in her mind, though.” Her suggestion of buying everything expensive and letting Honey pay for it was amusing, but he wasn’t sure about it, himself.
“Maybe not, I don’t want her in debt to a restaurant. She might have set us up, but she’s still our friend, it WAS nice of her to offer to pay, after all, and she already works like two jobs, I don’t wanna spend all of her hard earned money out of revenge. Doesn’t mean we can’t get our own back in other ways, though.” In fact, this little meeting would be a nice way to discuss how they could get Honey back for this little set-up.
“That was nice of them.” Tadashi noted, ordering a water for himself when Elsa ordered her ice tea --- and he picked up the menu, skimming it through it briefly in search of something to try. “Having the house to yourself doesn’t sound too bad. At least you’ll have some peace and quiet. I’d love a break most of the time, myself. Sharing a room with your little brother is a privacy nightmare sometimes, it’s why I installed a screen between our sections of the room.” He shook his head.
“Oh, It’s Beat Poetry night, so the café is open a little later than usual, for all those lonely hearts wanting to read some poetry to vent their emotions. Aunt Cass will probably curl up with some movies later tonight, though, and Hiro is probably binging on the Valentines Candy I got today.” He snorted slightly.
That was all Hiro needed to hear. If Tadashi was ready to move forward, than that was precisely what they would do, Hiro’s worries for the time being put to rest. With a grin, he hurried for the stairs, backpack bouncing with every step.
At the bottom of the stairs, Baymax waited patiently for the brothers, a pair of bento boxes carefully held in his hands. Aunt Cass did so love to ensure her boys got at least one good meal when not under her roof, and Baymax was equally dedicated to delivering them to Hiro and Tadashi.
Taking his, Hiro passed the other to his sibling with a roll of his eyes. “Thanks, mom-bot.” Sarcastic though the comment was, there was no mistaking the fondness in Hiro’s tone as well.
Tadashi watched his brother bound off with a smile, shaking his head slightly, and draped his satchel over his shoulder before he followed at a much slower pace. He didn’t like rushing down the stairs, he’d already had a few awkward slips, and he’d really rather not end up back in a coma because he’d fallen down the stairs.
When he reached the bottom, he took his bento from Hiro with a chuckle, slipping that into his satchel. It was nice, he’d admit, to be able to have Baymax aroudn the house. It wasn’t his intended use, sure, but he’d been a big help in recovery, and it was nice to see that his aunt AND Hiro got along with him so well -- he and Hiro were essentially inseperable at this point.
“Thanks, Baymax. Are you ready to go?”

Send me ⚠ to find my muse at the end of a trail of blood. [accepting]
@fujitagirls
Breathing was getting difficult. He didn’t know how long he’d been stuck in this alleyway, bleeding out, but he was fairly certain he’d blacked out and woken up again a few times already. His hand pressed against the wound on his stomach, and exhausted, pained eyes caught sight of the blood trail he’d created when trying to get home.
The girls were going up against Big Hero 6 again, and the girl in the yellow suit.. she had some kind of sharp discs. She’d thrown one at Hisa, trying to catch her off-guard, but Dashi had instinctively gotten in the way, and, well, the wound on his stomach was pretty deep. It might not have been as bad if he’d have gotten home and bandaged it, but as Chika had called for a retreat, he’d tried to follow over the rooftops, as usual, but a spasm of pain had made him mis-time a jump, and he’d fallen, slamming against a dumpster in an alleyway before hitting the ground. That had made things worse.
He’d tried walking, bleeding out, and he made it a fair distance before his legs gave out on him, and he took off his mask to try and give him more breathing access. He didn’t think he could go any further, now.
At least the girls were okay.
Chika tightened her hold slightly around Dashi and glanced up at him nervously. She could do this… She could get him home.
She looked ahead to see just how far they were and bit her lip. They were still a little while away. “Not too far.” She answered, furrowing her brow. “Just… Come on. Stay awake.” He commanded, continuing forward in the direction of the hide out. “I got you…”
“Yes ma’am.” Dashi assured her with a half smile, pulling himself up a little more in an effort to move a little better. Everything was screaming at him to just give up already, but he had to at least try to carry on, for the girls sake, if not his own. His feet dragged againstthe ground, causing him to stumble more than once, but he regained his footing.
He was still losing a bit of blood, and he knew it, so his vision was starting to blur heavily, and he groaned. “Chika... I don’t know if I can go much further..” He admitted quietly. “Maybe... Maybe you can leave me here and run back to the house to get some help...”
Her mouth agape as she watched the balloon-like figure inflate and waddle it’s way to her. She lets out a slight giggle upon seeing this machine’s movements and turns to Tadashi, her eyes wide and excited. “You certainly weren’t kidding when you said he was huggable..” Indeed, she had to keep herself from wrapping her arms and leaning gently along the bot.
Straightening herself properly, Elisa only barely raises her wrist, unsure how to proceed. Answer the question, she tells herself.
“Hello, Baymax. I am Elisa…Erm, I fell over and landed on my elbow. Do you mind taking a look at it? A little movement may have helped, but it still hurts with pressure…”
“I know, I sure wasn’t. Actually hugging him is a treat. He even has the ability to warm himself up, so he gives pretty amazing hugs.” Tadashi admitted with a small laugh.
Baymax listened to Elisa’s words with his head tilted lightly to the side, and after a moment, he raised a finger as he spoke. “I am happy to help. I will scan you now.” He informed her, and with a quick look up and down her, he had everything he needed.
“You have sustained mild bruising and a small sprain located at the point of injury. I reccommend using an ice pack on your elbow for 15 minutes up to three times per day and compressing your elbow with an elastic bandage. Both will reduce swelling and pain. I also reccomend wearing your arm in a sling until you get home and can properly rest.” Baymax informed her. “I do not have an ice pack feature, but I can generate a cooling gel agent that will aid in reducing swelling.” He waddled forward expectantly.
“I have something I can use for a sling, too..” Tadashi mused, glancing around before opening up some drawers.
En la union está la fuerza @selflessbrother
The boy standing before her couldn’t be more than ten or so. He was sort of lanky with skin paler than hers, but not as pale as the gringas back home. She watched as flush flooded his cheeks. It seemed she wasn’t the only one who was embarrassed. Regardless, she was quick tongued and even more quick tempered, neither trait very good for making friends at first meeting. She ignored his hand, pulling herself from the ground and dusting the dirt off her pants. She was dressed per her usual style: a blue denim jumper with metallic buttons she had fashioned out of old gaskets, a plain white three quarter sleeve cotton button up with a similar colored tank underneath. Her shoes were brown boots that used to be her sisters, hand me downs with worn soles and frayed laces, but somehow still the sturdiest pair of shoes she owned. Her hair was cropped into a short bob that barely reached her shoulders. When she started working in her Papí’s shop, she had hair so long it would often get snagged on the equipment, even when tied up in her sister’s best braid. Now, she was lucky to put it into a waterspout of a pigtail. She eyed him for a second before reaching out and snagging the box from where he had set it down, balancing it on her hip with one arm and poking out the other side, her fist coming to meet the other hip as her head cocked to the side in a robust manner. “Keep your apologies and keep your eyes where you’re going, or else.” She punctuated the final words with a finger jab to his chest for emphasis. Now that she was standing, he wasn’t much taller than her. Even if he had been, she wouldn’t have cared. Despite her size, Audrey was known for her fiery spirit and nearly reckless behavior. In Los Angelencia, she had attended a pretty populated public school where she quickly gained a reputation on the playground for wedging one of the Gomez twins head first through a tire swing and spinning it until he puked. The reason? He said her pigtails looked c u t e .
She pushed past him towards her house, hoping to completely forget their encounter, when she noticed the wince. She paused, only for a moment, the conflicting little angel on her shoulder making its entirely t o o passionate point, before sighing and dropping the box. Rolling her eyes as if to ask God ‘Are you happy now?’, she spun on her heels, turning to face the kid.
She peered at him, her chocolate gaze scanning over him for any sign of what could be wrong. She recalled the awkward encounter, him lunging to catch her box, the wince once he put it down. Ah. That must be it. “Dime,” she ordered, not waiting for a reply before her arms darted out to grasp his wrists, bringing his arms closer to her gaze with surprising care and tenderness for such an aggressive young girl. She inspected them for a moment, carefully twisting them this way and that, poking and prodding at intervals. Once she was satisfied, she dropped them, turning to pick up the box and balance it on her hip once more. She turned over her shoulder, calling back to him, “Looks fine. A muscle spasm, maybe a small sprain. My sis can patch you up in two seconds flat. Ice. Compression. Aspercreme. Some Ibuprofen if you really need it. Vale.” With that, she continued up her steps and into her front door, not bothering to see if the kid was following.
Tadashi allowed his hand to fall uselessly to his side as Audrey ignored him and stood up of her own accord. Well... At least she wasn’t hurt. that was his first real thought upon registering the event in his mind. In fact, she just seemed... angry. Looking her over, despite the fact that she looked a little younger than her, he was of the mindset that she... really wasn’t somebody to mess with. Her presence just seemed to scream: ‘Back Off.’
In comparison to HER clothes, his were a rather simplistic style, a worn pair of reddish-brown jeans and red sneakers, scuffed and beaten, clearly showing favouritism -- in fact they were his favourite shoes to wear, mostly for the comfort factor. He also wore a plain grey t-shirt with a white button-up shirt over the top of it, though he left that unbuttoned to show the grey shirt underneath. On top of his head sat a new San Fransokyo Ninjas Cap - a testament to his favourite baseball team. He loved the game, and his aunt had recently bought him the cap as a surprise, and he had promised himself he’d only take it off when he needed to.
Blinking at her thinly layered threat and at the poke to his chest, Tadashi breathed a small sigh. So much for making a good impression on the neighbors, though, he wondered if Audrey would have been nicer if they hadn’t met with him bumping into her --- he wasn’t quite sure, but he had no desire to get into any kind of confrontation, so, instead, he just nodded, flexing his fingers as his wrist ached.
“Uh, right, sure.”
He began to turn, intending to simply go home and maybe get some ice for his wrist, but noticed that Audrey had stopped to stare at him. In retaliation, he stared back, wondering what had changed her course of action from getting as far away as possible to -- oh, she was coming back over, wasn’t she?
Startled, Tadashi jumped as she reached out to grab his wrists, and almost flinched again, not quite sure what he expected her to do. He didn’t know her well enough to make a judgement call, after all, but his shoulders slowly relaxed as she seemed to merely be inspecting him, for, he assumed, his injury. It was a dull ache, really, nothing too bad, so he wasn’t going to complain about it.
Still, with her offer to come inside came a new opportunity. He could try to make a better impression -- she didn’t seem too bad, she was offering to help him, after all. Maybe it was a sign he could make a new friend. Worth a shot.
“Okay...” He offered, a little redundantly, as Audrey was already disappearing inside of her home. Quickly, he made to follow, catching up with her with ease. After a second, he cleared his throat. He didn’t even know her name yet, after all.
“Thank you --- I’m Tadashi, by the way. Tadashi Hamada.”
