he isn’t sure how long he’s been gone for, but parker’s expression & worry causes rudi to frown. all anger that he’d been bottling up had exploded in just a moment of weakness, now he stands, unfazed— as normal as he can get. rudi blinks slowly; he doesn’t try to pull from her careful hold, rather, he sniffles, hand reaches up to wipe away the blood. wound has healed by now, only a stain of black - ish red now shading his forehead.
“ nothin’, “ he says. doesn’t want to worry her or upset her– it’d be pointless. doesn’t help his situation ( though it doesn’t help now either ). hybrid now pulls back, a smile given to blake. “ had an owie, “ he reassures. attention is returned to parker, mismatched gaze peering into blues. “ i don’t.. even remembah. musta jus’— dunno. don’t worry, alright ? i’m all good ? see ? “ he gives her a smile.
her hands dropped to his shoulders as he wiped at what little blood was left. jaw tightened when she felt blake brush against her leg, probably looking up at rudi as well. she hated for him to ever see his family like THIS ----- angry, hurting. one small arm wrapped around her thigh, the little boy’s check pressed against the side. ❛ that’s not nothing... ❜ parker replied, lowering her voice. ❛ but fine ----- if you’re sure you’re fine. ❜ she placed a hand on her son’s head, smoothing his blonde hair. he blinked at rudi & nodded, seemingly satisfied with his answer.
the witch pursed her lips, not so easily calmed. more concerned with getting home without another argument, parker opted to let it for the time being. ❛ alright...let’s just...get going. we can talk about this later. ❜ she gave rudi a nod & blake a small nudge toward the backseat of the car. ❛ why don’t you get in the car, kiddo? then we’ll go get you something to eat. ❜
