Yeah so you guys remember I wanna talk about egg? Yeah oke so it's actually a silly series I made called UU Design Lore or UUDL, where I explained my:
For all the UU characters, and the first to go would be:
Egg-Chan, has been one of my favourite side characters from UU, not just because he's depicted as a comedic relief type of character, but also because if I'm not mistaken, he's not given a specific script to follow, but of course he was informed about what he should act during a certain scene which lead to almost everything he said is genuine/from the heart, not the script.
Also, he's depicted as those who know everything... Hence his name... HAHAH and I have a cool reason for that.
So without wasting your breath, let's get into it.
Now I'm a very straight forward gal okay, if I saw his Minecraft skin is a suit, then a suit shall he wore. The only design that are mostly my own imagination would be the hair. I LOVE hair, if you didn't notice haha. Now there's a REASON why I specifically, give him a long hair.
Disclaimer: This is NOWHERE near canon. I basically made this lore up for my design.
So, back then, when Egg joined the server, he was actually not wearing the mask he's wearing now. He's actually a pretty nonchalant guy. For reference, I consider those who draw his hair as the 'eyes'. Yes, everyone design is involved in this HAHAHA
But for me, other than that, he wore glasses, because he got myopia (Shortsightedness) hence why he can't see things that are so far away (based on his render distance)
Now everything changes when he sacrificed himself for Wemmbu. Remember that Egg saved Wemmbu from getting trapped in The End? That's, when everything changes.
Upon entering The End, Egg was still nonchalant as ever, not even bothered that he might be stuck there for the LONGEST time, and he eventually met Minutech, who told him that he can explore The End if he wants to, and gave him a spare Elytra and enough fireworks for his exploration. So he did.
He checked every End City, but, of course, as he expected, it's already been looted by the Mafia, yet he still search through them anyway. Until...
(Friendly reminder of how this is not canon)
He found, a peculiar End City, the one with the Ship.
Well, you could say it's only the Ship. There's no End City nearby it, like it should be. Perhaps it was destroyed by the Mafia? But why would they left the Ship unbothered?
Curiousity got the best of him, and he checked it out.
Upon entering the ship, as expected, no potions. Definitely looted. No Elytra. The chests? Empty of course. But something is not right.
There's an Ender Chest (EC) here. Perhaps the last person forgot to take it back. It doesn't really matter though, you can't access other person's EC. Perhaps that's why it was abandoned here.
Then, Egg remembered that he had kept tons of empty book and quill inside his EC. Well, since he's going to be here for a while, why not do some journaling am I right?
Egg happily opens the EC—
Only to find a single mask insde.
A talking mask? Yeah absolutely not—
"Open this Ender Chest right now, or you'll be cursed—"
Egg opened the EC without thinking twice.
"I don't remember putting in a talking mask with one eye in my EC..."
"That's because this EC was not yours in the first place! It belongs to the server."
"You see, there's a lot of unexplained stuff on this server. Why do you think it's called Unstable?"
"Okay... Is there a reason why..."
"I'm trapped here? Of course! Everything happened for a reason. Say, Egg-Chan. You love knowledge, don't you?"
"Uhm. How do you know that—"
"You also have a friend called Wemmbu, who's great with Maces, strong one, yet his heart is so fragile, I think he's probably going on a rampage to reach you now."
"Say, how would you like to know everything about this server? Once you wear me on your face, you'll know everything!"
Egg's burrows his eyebrows. "...Everything?"
"ALL— Of things. Big and small, short and tall, wide and slim, secrets and the truths."
Egg thought hard. Of course he would like to know about the secret of the Universe. But...
"You're interested. I know that. I know everything."
"Uhh. Yeah. But, question?"
"What's... The price of this knowledge? What will I give away, for the price of knowing everything?"
The Mask looked surprised, and it's expression changed.
"No wonder you're chosen by the server. Quite the thinker, are you?"
Egg shrug. He do not understand what the mask means.
"Okay tell you what. I'm a knowledge mask. I am formed when the server was created. I've been here for the longest time. Back then, players wore me for their own benefits. I don't care much about that. That's my purpose. Giving Knowledge to them. But once I realised how terrible some people are..."
"I killed them by filling their mind with too many information. Some got angry by my actions and—"
"They sealed you here. So, you're basically like, The King in Yellow or something."
"Oh. Perhaps you're exclusive to only knowing the knowledge of the server, not outside of it."
"There's more knowledge outside of this game?"
"Yeah, there's a lot more stuff than this server—"
"TELL ME ABOUT IT. I NEED TO KNOW. MORE KNOWLEDGE!"
"Well, talking mask. I'm about to be here for a long time. So, I'll be doing some journaling. You can tell me what you know about this server in correlation to my experience being here, while I'll tell you what I know about outside the server. Do we have a deal? Promise you won't fry my brain? I'm a chill guy, I promise."
"I know you are. But, there's one final catch to this, Egg. You can remove me anytime you wished to. But if others removed me from your face, or I am destroyed— You will forgot everything. About me, your friends, and of course—"
"The knowledge of the whole server. So that's the price, huh. I have to keep you safe then. Thankfully I don't like confrontation that much."
"You know something I don't know, don't you?"
And so, Egg and The Talking Mask becomes friends, and that's why:
1. Egg got a library in The End
3. Egg can't see far because he's not wearing his glasses when he's wearing the mask
4. He got a book about the server.
5. His mask can change expression.
So, what about the hair? Long story short, Egg's hair was always taken care of by Wemmbu. So when Wemmbu didn't visit him for a long time...
"Hey Egg, don't you wanna do something with your hair?"
"Mm... Idk, I never cut them. I think it's easier to just tie them up."
So thatt conclude my first talk about my UU design.
