⢠How to express negativity and vent without letting it consume you
⢠That if once in awhile, if you accidentally relapse and let negativity consume you then itâll be okay, it happens to the best of us, you donât have to beat yourself up about it.
⢠Emotions are okay to have. Jealousy, anger, guilt, shame, betrayal. Itâs okay to feel those whether or not they make sense to the situation. No, jealousy doesnât make you inherently abusive. If you donât use these emotions to hurt others or yourself, itâs fine and healthy. Thereâs no wrong way to feel.
⢠Itâs also okay to feel good emotions! You know, I felt happy for the entire day on Christmas? That doesnât take away from the fact that I only feel happiness for split seconds before going back to numbness every other day. It doesnât take away that Iâm depressed. If you feel peaceful, relaxed, pleasant then donât worry it doesnât mean youâre faking. Your illness is still valid, your experience is still valid. Enjoy the times you feel nice! Itâs okay!
