i was at the bank a while ago and overheard the other employee explaining the plot of hazbin hotel to a 40-something year old man and i genuinely felt like i was witnessing the birth of christ. Actual greatness. Comedy gold. No notes. Cannot make this shit up

I wrote about straggots (epic!odypen)....Just a snipet
Today, Odysseus was curled up against Penelope's stomach, his body cocooned between her legs like a blanket of ease and safety. He was definitely much bigger than he was when he’d done this twenty years ago, despite the weight loss, but she didn’t mind. It was nice for his sleep to be peaceful, not to be plagued by nightmares for once.
Odysseus always looked younger when he was asleep. He didn’t have the hesitation or ghosting touch like usual, like he was afraid she’d disappear in a flash if he touched her skin. He instead had a pleasant look on his face, mouth agape, snoring noisily. Before the war, Penelope would complain about his snoring. The cuddling, she didn't mind as much, but it's not very attractive when he's snoring in her ear all night. But when he left, she struggled to sleep in the silence.
Penelope wasn’t sleeping anytime soon, and she didn't mind one bit.
She could study his face for hours, eyes following every crease and dip in his features, listening to his soft breaths coming in and out. And most importantly, the way he’d sigh in relief when her hand found his hair, as if she had just cured all of his troubles. Her fingers ran through the strands like the threads of her shroud. A faint smile spreads on his face. Seeing Odysseus happy is a sight better than any heaven.
Penelope remisced on the day he came home. That was a side of her husband she had never seen before.
But he was so… so gentle. The way he held her. Her once stoic and macho husband, weeping into her arms.
She drew a bath for him and washed off all the age, dirt, and blood, massaging through all the kinks and aches in his bones. She had no doubt he didn’t crack a few ribs while away, so she made sure he was all healed up. Odysseus, a man she knew as very chirpy and romantic, barely said a word throughout this. He was naked, yet he didn’t feel exposed or uncomfortable, a feeling he hadn't experienced for two decades. She was his wife, after all, his Penelope. And he could never feel ashamed in her presence. Instead, he basked in her glow.
Penelope sighed and brought her fingers against his chin, thumb stroking his beard and lower lip. Odysseus looked up at her with those big, stupid eyes that told her exactly how he felt about her. And it made her heart shatter. He looked at her like she was the most gorgeous creature in the entire world.
Odysseus mumbles something in his sleep, eyes closing once again. He leans in closer to her, burying his body deeper into her. Like his was sculpted to fall perfectly into place with hers.
the third time i watched thunderbolts in theaters i got too excited at the sight of bucky barnes on a motorcycle that i ended up thundercunting my popcorn across the cinema on accident
Rewatching the Captain America trilogy really made me realize how little of 40s Bucky we see, which makes him all the more tragic… only 8 minutes of screen time in the first movie, I literally said “Already?” when they got to the train
The first third of the movie, we seen him smiley, confident, talkative, and he cracks jokes all the time. Even when he isn’t smiling or happy, his face just looked so different, so lively.
Then he’s missing for most of it, only to be reintroduced but now disturbed, broken and in disbelief of everything around him. Even flirting and being confident began to feel foreign, looking at Steve has become bittersweet. He smiles, but you see pain and hesitation behind it, only a few seconds before his face drops to that disturbed, hesitant expression.
While the message and focus on Steve in the first film is very well executed and meaningful, the representation of how war can break the happiest, nicest people is so prominent with Bucky and I cannot stop thinking about it and how it sets up his imminent tragedy so beautifully.

Bucky is a huge massive fucking nerd and Steve is the punk rock radical, not the other way around.
Steve’s identity revolves entirely around fighting. Fighting for the oppressed, fighting against oppressors, fighting just because. He actively wants to die fighting, that’s why he does what he does. He’s polite, sure, but never confuse that for being nice or civil. There’s a big difference. Steve was probably applying for the draft BEFORE Pearl Harbor, he’s very politically engaged, even before he became Captain America. He might wear old clothes, but rest assured he would be an actual punk if he was born today.
Bucky, on the other hand, somehow got a hold of a copy of The Hobbit when it first came out in ENGLAND. That’s an insane feat. You couldn’t even really special order it that fast. He would have had to be aware of JRR Tolkien (likely finding him through CS Lewis and short stories in nerdy fandom spaces) to have heard about it in the first place, then got a copy sent to him by mail from someone he knew in England. That’s levels of dorkery that we don’t even have the technology for anymore. Closest thing would be traveling to a different country to collect a specific unknown book. Then, he chose to go to the World’s Fair on his last night in Brooklyn. Sure, post Winter Soldier, he likes to wear black, but he listens to like. Swing music from the 40s. He’s not cool. He just doesn’t talk enough for everyone (but Steve and Sam) to discover what a huge dork he is. If he was born today, he’d be into comics and d&d

Sebastian Stan on playing Bucky Barnes in Thunderbolts.
"I love when they allow me to play a little bit of the duality. That‘s what I love about Bucky. I love that even though he‘s come a long way, he‘s still carrying his whole life experience with him. He‘s not a totally different person. He‘s always going to have those things that made him who he is, good and bad, and it gives a different flavor to the choices that you make as an actor.
And this, it feels like this is a very similar group. They could all go both ways. They‘re running away from the thing that scares them. They are running away from themselves. They are running away from the pain they didn‘t deal with, the guilt that they‘ve accumulated, from being out in the world and doing terrible things."
