Over the years I’ve stumbled upon a myriad of awe inspiring places across London- within these places I’ve often met extraordinary people with stories both unique and inspiring. I set up this website to share the everyday explorations, experiences, encounters and imaginings that make up my London, the city I love and I live.

I also lead wanders around London. Living London ‘wanderings’ offer you the opportunity to explore parts of London that remain relatively unknown and under-explored. Each wander will often include visits to various secret gems around London. Check out the wanderings page for upcoming walks.

Greenwich Peninsula

the jetty at twilight, a bullet from a shooting star, a slice of reality, swaying reeds, silent quarries, dirt mountains, trash peaks, a seal in the river....

Bedfont Lake  

time alone with the swans, the planes take off overhead, mine and theirs, inside the moody grey and white sky... 

Carrie’s Mosaic House

She made me a cup of tea and sat down and we talked for some time, we talked about her mosaic house, about life and death and art and stuff... and then I wandered around her back garden alone, and it was pretty spectacular, all of it... the kindness of wondrous strangers, the lessons and stories, the connection to space, to justice and to hearts... 

Gallions Hill

swirling winds, frozen hands and feet at twilight, waiting for the sky to fade into a dark navy. and then, singing and dancing to the Zombies, to keep warm, to stay alive, it was like we were stuck inside an anonymous eighties thamesmead twilight.

Albert Bridge

a quiet winters sunset, the lights went on...

Thames Barrier

november miles, the sun sets, coloured reflections dance on silver, a cold spreads, the smell of varnish lessens, paint dries, gold and violet, fading... the starlings are flitting, the planes are taking off, the lights will soon turn on... fading.. days upon days upon days... vague as anything... 

Archway Bridge 

a cold winters night, city lights graced the horizon, SOS a red phone box, a bunch of red roses, archway bridge, also known as suicide bridge. I took photos from it, watched the cars and buses zip through, traced light trails, sometimes life fails, us, in ways we can’t recover... in the cover, of darkness- life/ slipped away
