The Gay and Lesbian Kingdom of the Coral Sea Islands is a micronation near Australia.  This is their flag:

The Gay Kingdom (as it is colloquially known) was founded in 2004 in protest against Australia’s legal stance against same-sex marriage.

They are currently ruled by Emperor Dale I, and their currency is the Pink Dollar.

they have a declaration of independence that talks a bit about gay rights and then just flat out copies the “life liberty and the pursuit of happiness” part from the american declaration of independence. and here’s the best part: the founding group actually elected their emperor. he was originally going to be called the “administrator” of a republic. their website, however, says that “upon legal advice, his title was changed to that of Sovereign on the grounds that under Australian law a defacto prince trying to claim his crown cannot be charged with treason”. so they made it a kingdom and he now claims to be a descendent of edward ii.

everything about this is glorious and everyone should know about it.

Oh, that’s a really good question, you know! I probably divide my answer in two parts - about solid canon we have  now and about my own headcanon vision.

Right now in canon we don’t have a single proof about Batman’s feelings. If we don’t count Injustice’s quote about “You loved him, didn’t you”, we have nothing. It sad, but true. But it doesn’t mean that he don’t care about the Joker. He is care about him, about his well-being, he many times saves his live, he trying to understand him and even justify his horrible crimes. Someone could tell that Batman is kind and understanding to all of his rogues, but we had to admit - with the Joker it was taken to the whole new level. It’s not hiding in subtext, it’s right there, in comic books. And Batman’s friends and family always wondering why, why he so obsessed with this clown, why he can’t live without him. So I think, in canon, if Batman doesn’t love the Joker he is at least caring about him very much.

But if we talk about subtext and headcanon, then I have another explaination about what’s going on with Bruce’s head (and I didn’t touch a fanfiction territory here). So, I think Batman is have feelings for the Joker, but he’s supressed it so hard, hid it so deep, that he’s now believing in it himself. That’s the Joker is just another filthy criminal, that’s he would love to get rid of him now and forever. Everything else in his behaviour says otherwise. And also Batman knows from the Joker that the clown is in love with him. I think even one thought about him having a warm feelings about the Joker is terrifying Batman. Because the Joker is a criminal, a murderer, who stand against everything what Batman holds dear. Maybe if there would be alone in the whole world, then something could be happen. But Batman had family, friends and collegues who’s wouldn’t be happy if they’ll know the true. But Batman also believe that the Joker is not beyond redemption, that he could change himself.

Before anything like that I don’t think Batman can admit his love for Joker. Maybe if circumstances were drastically changed, if someone from bat-family (or Superman) would know about his feelings and reacts normal about that, then something in Batman’s behaviour towards the Joker could change for the best as well.
