hii i remem... oh shoot your ask box is vi. <Esc>ddo
hii i remember a wee bit ago you said you were working on a self hosted music server. the READMEs for the server and client implementation seem a bit... sparse. so apologies but i have come here for questions.
first, what platforms does the current client support? some of linux, windows, macos, ios, android? (apologies for not being able to grok this from the code, my kotlin is nonexistent)
second, is it possible to have some screenshots of the client?
third, at a glance it seems like the intended way to add users is not documented in the protocol specification. is there a way of adding users aside from editing the db directly?
i think thats all i can think of right now - i wont even be able to try and set up a self hosted server for a year or three, so im sorry if this is a quite bit of disturbance for something that may amount to nothing!
as for you asking for a name of it, im sorry but my names are terrible. i usually just use a word in cornish for it (edhen is bird and ydhyn is birds. bran/brini is crow/crows. and gryllya is chirp. they are... very different to what you are currently using, but at the very least i think brini is a very cute word!)

Yeah, the server is very much not ready for regular use yet and the docs are pretty out of date right now.
I've been working on a docker container but couldn't finish it before going to camp.
The server is running on go, so it supports Linux and idk maybe windows too but I'm not sure. The client is for android.
There's a way to add users via the API if you're an admin (currently I don't have a way to add the first account yet tho)
Thing is, it's still in development and I need to do the finishing touches, like a proper installer and also documentation. I'll have to do it eventually, because it's a student project and I need the grade.
If anyone is interested in trying it out, and I haven't written any docs yet, feel free to ask
