Subfandom Secret Santa Gift Exchange!

Hi guys!  I know it's nearly Valentine's Day at this point, but I've gotten a message that someone still hasn't gotten anything from their Secret Subfandomer!  

If you're one of the people who hasn't done anything for their person, please do something.  Just something really nice like sending them sweet anons or making them a special playlist or something would be wonderful.  Nobody likes to feel stood up, okay?  

Aw, nonnie, I'm sorry!  I can't do anything about it if you're on Anon, but what I can do is this:

ATTENTION SUBFANDOMERS

Did you forget to send your Secret Subfandomer something?  Did you send it late (I totally did)?  Did you simply forget?  If so, please please PLEASE at least send your subfandomer a nice message or something?  Write them a fic or make them a cute graphic or...?  

Seriously, this subfandom is too awesome to leave people hanging like this.  

Allison and I are sending out names today!  So check your inboxes, and stealthily get to know them.  Have fun, everyone!  

All right Texts Subfandom, sign ups for gift exchange are closed!! If you sent us a message, don't worry we got it. We will be randomly shuffling stuff up and sending out names and info to people within the next week, and we will be sending the info to your ask boxes, so keep an eye out for that!

I'm trying to put people with those who can receive their gifts because there are both people who cannot get physical gifts (not able/comfortable with giving out address) and cannot give them (shipping/time/money/etc.) so I want to make sure everyone is participating at the level they are able to.  

You can give ANY gift!  The idea is to check out the blog of the person you get and then figure out what they'd like.  If you write fic, figure out their OTP, if you draw, look to see if there's certain things they reblog lots of fanart of (or not much if you wanna draw them something rare) or if they cosplay, you can make/find something for a costume for them. 

The exchange isn't secret!  Everyone in the subfandom is invited to participate!  ADMINS INCLUDED!!   

I know it's only the middle of October, but I want to start on this early so everyone who wants to can participate.  I'm going to start sign ups NOW, and sign ups will end on NOVEMBER 14TH, which is a month from now.  We will not be taking any late sign ups!  I want the process of giving people their secret subfandomers to be completely random, and done all at once so there isn't last-minute pairing up.

NOTE: If you're uncomfortable giving out your address (or you're not allowed to, etc.) you can still participate!  Just follow those specific instructions below.

So!  If you want to sign up, here's what you do:  Send a message to this blog with

The URL you want associated with the sign-up (even if it's your main blog, I want it to be clear)

If you're willing to give out your address to me (221tea/221poisonedtea) and Allison (allison-cumberbatch), plus whoever your secret subfandomer ends up being, please include your address, with the name you want it addressed to.  Please include your country, because it's not always clear (believe me, I've had it happen before; the post office was clever enough to figure it out even though I was dumb, but it delays packages!) 

If you're NOT willing to give out your address, please indicate as such, but I am requesting an email address or somewhere I can submit things that people have made/written for you.

If you live somewhere that postage is ridiculously expensive/if you are broke (no shame in that, I understand), and cannot SEND packages, please indicate as such, because there are other ways to give gifts!  Writing fic, poetry, making art, writing songs, etc. are all great things!!   And they don't have to be masterpieces.  (I'll probably do my best to put these people with those who cannot receive packages for maximum happiness by all.)

After sign ups end, Allison and I will put people together as randomly as possible (with exceptions for those unable to send/receive packages) and send out names/addresses/urls, etc.  You will then have until December 1st to get to know your subfandomer, and figure out what to do for them.  

Also, if you don't know if you can actually do this, please don't sign up until you're certain.  There's nothing worse than one person in a secret santa group that just... doesn't get any gifts.  It's sad.  :(
