what vibe do you give off based on your dominant sign?
aries: intense and confident. you walk into a room and everybody feels your presence. you may even be a bit intimidating
taurus: comforting. you have a sort of warm presence and, for lack of a better word, feel earthy and home-y
gemini: you seem light and airy, like a little whirlwind of a person floating about the room. perhaps fairy-like
cancer: like taurus, you are comforting. people probably feel naturally at ease with you because you have a welcoming presence
leo: you feel like sparkles and warm summer heat. you have a special presence in a room and stand out
virgo: most likely come off a bit cold and intimidating. people may struggle to approach you because you seem stern
libra: gentle and bright. even if you donât say much people feel lighter when you are around. you have a happy feeling to you
scorpio: dark, domineering and perhaps a bit unapproachable. people may describe you as âscaryâ
sagittarius: you seem checked out of reality. you have a bit of a distant feeling and donât seem like youâre really in any room you walk into
capricorn: like virgo, you may seem a bit unapproachable, but in a less cold and more businesslike way. very stoic
aquarius: you seem, totally weird. super offbeat and different from anybody else in the room. you have a harsh presence
pisces: you seem soft and little, even if youâre not physically small. you have a gentle, kind presence and may seem almost childlike
you know that feeling when youâre out in nature at 5 or 6am and everythingâs still quiet and the air still smells like night time and itâs fresh so you shiver a bit but then slowly the first rays of sun peak over the edge of the earth and everything is bathed in foggy, golden light and you just stand there watching the earth awaken.. if thatâs not soothing idk what is

A series of pieces based off of common urban fauna with the aim of reminding people of traits in them we could all do well emulating sometimes, and celebrating the ability of nature to carve out a place in any environment.

Ya'll, please stop asking the tumblr void if doing X and seeing Y at that time was a sign.
Firstly, discernment is a vital skill in witchcraft and one you should cultivate. You also should have some kind of system that allows you to fact check your shit, find one and get good at it. These will serve you so, so well in your practice.
Secondly, if it's a sign for you then it's a sign *for you* and a sign is only a sign if you recognize it as one. The omens didn't mean anything to those who were not skilled enough to read them.
When you ask tumblr you aren't ensuring that you are getting accurate results, so why not just..decide for yourself?
Also, a lot of you ask if really mundane things are signs, which is moreso what this post is about than signs in general. You do know that you can ask for more/clearer signs..right?
If you're not sure then make a note of it, test it out (ask for X sign by Y date), see if there is a pattern of events, and make your judgement.
Stop being afraid of getting it wrong. Of course there are things in witchcraft that can cause serious damage if miscalculated or haphazardly approached but part of witchcraft is getting your hands dirty and fucking up and learning from that. Calculate your risks and act accordingly.
I'm not saying you can't check with your trusted friends for an objective perspective about a sign, that's fine! I'm also not saying, for example, if you think a sign is from X deity trying to contact you that you can't try to verify how they may have appeared to others, there's value in that!
What I'm specifically cautioning against is taking very mundane, singular events and putting it out there for anyone on tumblr to verify for you. I get that we all want to feel like we're doing the right things, making the right calls, and generally just on the right path with our craft - but sometimes foresight only comes from the ability to learn from things in hindsight.

Myth Loki would. (x)Â
Saw ur post with the six gods in t-shirts. While i think itâs nice to see your take on it, i have to point out that there is a myth where Loki sneaks his children into Asgard to raise them in safety and when Odin finds out he seals them away because they were too monstrous to be allowed freedom. Odin locked up little children because he didnât think they deserved to live in his kingdom. (also the reason Tyr is called son of Odin is most likely because Odin banged Tyrâs mom, he got around ALOT)
Thereâs a lot of versions of several different myths out there. The post you refer to is a social commentary of today, not a full mythical representation. Odin does a lot of very dubious shit in most of the myths heâs in, but even those are worth examinating.
A lot of other posts on this blog are specifically about comparing different versions of Norse (and other Nordic) myths and base plots.
The reason Tyr is called Odinâs son, to me, is most likely either because a) all Aesir are called his sons or boys in a way younger relatives and thralls would refer to the family patriarch or b) Odin really is his father, âbiologicalâ (as far as mythical gods can be) or adopted, either way.
Anyway, there is a version of said myths, a recorded and preserved one from medieval Iceland at that, where Tyr has a father who is a giant. Itâs called The Lay of Hymir or Hymiskvidha.
You can disagree with my political view on immigration (inherently a neutral right), but to disagree with the fact that historically
- Nordic region has always been a place of immigration and emigration- Tyr is mythologically a descendant of the giant Hymir- Tyr is disabled, even if in a deified sense it doesnât bother him
is, in my honest opinion, rude and ignorant, especially if you try to make me agree with you on that disagreement.
So, Iâve never heard the âLoki smuggled them into Asgardâ version. The version I always heard is that Odin learned about them and brought them to Asgard. I wrote a bit about that.
https://mrnexx.tumblr.com/post/185703353733/lokis-giant-brood
If you look at what Odin does with the trio, it is exactly what you would do as a Norse king with a kinsmanâs children⌠Send the eldest boy to sea, give the daughter a chunk of land as a dowry, and foster the youngest with your other kinsmen.
HEY OKAY THIS IS A NICE FRESH HOT TAKE ON THIS PIE.
I really like that idea! Itâs⌠not something Iâve read before, surely, but I think itâs actually a very nice look on how the assigned domains work. Especially if you want to see the myths as representative of familial village relationships (which isnât the whole truth, of course, but a possible one).
Go give that one a read, guys!

TREE HUG
European botanical artist Christophe Guinet â known as monsieur plant â has installed a new piece of work in Annecy, France. The work comprises castings of arms developed together with the local residents of the area. The casts are then âvegetatedâ and installed around tree trunks, generating a new collection of arboreal pieces.Â
