what the hell happened?
A spur of the moment thing happened where Ben proposed to Charlie and we just went along with it. It wasn’t a plot that was discussed prior to it actually happened. The rules do not specify a ‘major event’ that needs to be ran by admins. Steph didn’t remember ever asking about her pregnancy plot so neither of us thought to ask permission. It was an innocent cute moment that just randomly happened between our characters and the admins quickly contacted us telling us we needed to put a stop to the interaction immediately or we would be removed from the roleplay because it would interfere with other plots which is very confusing. An engagement is between two people and would not have had any sort of effect on any other members of the rp community.
I like to think that over time (me being here nearly a year and Steph for 2+ years), we have proven to be very respectful and inclusive roleplayers. I’m sure you’ve seen Seb, Charlie, Ellie and Ben interacting with each and every one of you. In addition, the two of us are very active roleplayers. I have posted pictures on another account of situations where admins have actually come to me for advice and help and I have, without second thought, helped them out. Neither myself or Steph was every a malicious person with cruel intentions around here. However, we found ourselves constantly being reprimanded by admins for silly things such as not following the starter rule (which is bull since I think the two of us have always managed to have a thread with each and every one of you).
Meanwhile, I’m not sure if you all remember a character a few months back named Daniel? Their mun was one who openly bullied members as well as one of our admins. Yet, it was a couple of weeks before they were ever even kicked out. I found it a bit ironic that Steph and I were threatened to be removed from a roleplay for an innocent engagement plot while someone else could openly bully people without consequences. Additionally, I had gone to an admin and expressed concern with feeling uncomfortable with one of the muns and they completely agreed with me (I have proof of that conversation on my other blog as well). They admitted that this person, Giselle’s mun, had a habit of dropping threads with people and harassing people OOC. Was she reprimanded? No. In fact, she was promoted to admin. So, again, Steph and I are punished for an engagement plot while Giselle’s mun blatantly broke rules and went without punishment and became a fucking admin.
Both Steph and I have received endless anon hate as well, to which the admins didn’t even both to acknowledge until we confronted them. So much for a supportive community. Additionally, we have seen events for Harry’s birthday, Wyatt’s birthday, and now Jacob’s birthday. Both Charlie and Ben had birthdays that passed and were not acknowledge yet, two of the admins as well as someone who ships with an admin evidently deserved special events, showing just how biased they are. They so clearly branch out to only certain people (Giselle’s threads are mainly with Jacob, Harry’s are with Erik), which is evident in the fact that even when my unfollow was posted, the admin incorrectly listed my second character as Ben instead of Seb. Ben was listed to be blocked and unfollowed when Steph plays him and had done nothing at all.
A few months ago, another character by the name of Charlie was accepted, and the admins admitted that they had ‘forgotten’ there were two Charlies. How do you forget one of your players exists?! Especially one as active as mine? Sebastian also was not listed in the taken characters page up until a few days ago, despite me having brought it to their attention.
It’s clear that the admins play favorites and are incapable of running this roleplay. I’m sorry that much of my anger has been taken out on you lot, as my anger is solely aimed towards the admins. I genuinely enjoyed playing Charlie against the majority of you, as well as Seb. Please don’t hesitate to contact me on my other account for the proof I have mentioned or just to stay in contact.
