Instead of all the craziness that involved the symbiote bonding with Spidey first, in this continuity they were just two beings that had a lot in common, despite being completely different species, and were in the right place at the right time to find one another.

Sure, they fight sometimes, but they ultimately bring out the best in each other at the end of the day.

I feel like Tom Hardy’s version of Eddie would take one look at all the other versions of themselves and say, “You all seriously need to chill.”
